Default Paypal accounts getting limited fast

Hi, this is my first post here. after suspension on ebay about a year ago i read the ebook and have been stealth ever since. I have no problem maintaining an ebay accnt but my paypal's keep getting limited faster and faster every time. the most recent ones have been getting shut down within the first 2 or 3 sales on ebay. i know they weren't linked- everything was new, even my i.p.

address was real but not mine, and the phone was through inumbr

by all means i should have been fine. this is getting very frustrating because i have a bunch of merchandise and i can't keep a paypal running long enough to sell the stuff. and if i do manage to sell a good chunk of it first i have to pay $100's of dollars in shipping out of my own pocket and then wait the 180 days to get my money.

i currently have 3 accounts limited with nice sums of money. i'm just hoping i get the money out fine when the time comes, i haven't made it that far yet.

I appreciate any help you guys can provide. i'm in a real mess here. thanks.

Are you linking new Paypal accounts to the same Ebay account or are you starting new EB/PP combos?

well iv'e done it all and learned the hard way. but the latest was a completely fresh ebay and paypal bank verified. i mean i did sell about $450 worth of stuff that day when it happened(first day of use), but the funny thing is they limited it right after the first sale. i'm kind of wondering if this is something they are now automatically doing to new members after their first sale. maybe something there just starting now. just a theory. it's just not adding up. iv'e never seen it happen that fast for no reason.

Considered high risk, yes.

You kinda answered your own question with the word 'fast'.

dear old paypal goes postal when accounts are used 'fast'.

So a new account, with no history, nothing to make it look remotely OK will be limited by paypal first. Choice is then for the user to remove the limits.

You mention verified? How? What did you use?
What steps are you taking when you make your paypal to have that account 'appear' OK?

Don't forget to take in the consideration that it's still the holiday season. eBay/Paypal tends to be REALLY picky

well i'm sure it's influenced by the fact that they are high risk items. but even though i moved too fast that day, keep in mind i was limited within seconds of the first item sold. it wasn't until after the limitation that another $400 in sales came in.
as far as how i made myself appear natural on paypal-
bank verified with accountnow, a real physical address that wasn't mine but close by, and a virtual phone number that comes through to my cell.
everything should appear ok and not out of the ordinary at all. unless they now have the ability to see the name on the bank account. i'm sure we all hope not.
in the past it was obvious why i was shut down and i learned from my mistakes but this is just crazy. i can't figure it out. i should have atleast got a few sales in before it happened, if not better.

Listing Too Fast, makes them Too Furious. They watch you like a hawk and it's easier for them to limit you and then you need to verify yourself with docs ..etc.
Be careful and try to be under the radar all the time

that's a good point vany. maybe i should verify my paypal and let them both sit for a week or two. then list one item every 2 or 3 days for a while before i try being a big shot. patience sounds like a good idea right now. i'd rather make slow sales than none at all. thanks guys for all the help.

I think it takes a good 90 days (3 manual reviews) to start listing anything high risk. sure sign that your getting higher on the risk chart is when 21 day holds come into effect.

If you don't have a verified account then expect to be limited at the 200-400 dollar limit.

Electronics is always high risk - and selling this from the start is dangerous. Build some buyer feedback and nurture the account - 2-4 weeks before selling is an ok timeframe to work with.

Ive had luck selling non-branded electronics. Though those came at very low profit percentage. It did help me get started and they never had 21 day holds

The product:

wow i thought the 21 day holds were normal for all new sellers. it happened to me everytime. i think i'll start selling something else and just sneak the game systems in here and there til it's all gone. i just can't figure out what to sell. hopefully i can find something profitable soon. it's been a rough year since they first shut my real accounts down.

Not speaking from experience, but perhaps sending in docs before you do the sale might lead to a smaller review time than 180 days, no?

But isn't the 21 day hold obligatory for all new sellers in ebay?

You just have the same probs like me... List one item... Got limitation... 5 account all like that... I think we should slow the business at beginning... Just sell under $50 item will be good..

yeah it's pretty rediculous getting limited after selling one item. it's a real waste of a bank account.

anyway, i set up two new accounts with more legitimate bank accounts in hopes that will look better. i'm using bank of america. i verified the accounts a week ago and have one item up for sale. when the item sells i'll let these cool down before listing another. i'd rather take it slow at first than not be able to do anything at all.

thanks for all the replies guys. good luck to everybody.

Guys

Would you consider used electronics as high risk Vero items like used mobile phones under £100 or used games console Or does it have to be new?

Thanks
