Default PayPal Pocket the Money?

I have a lot of money tied up in a PayPal account that I cannot get out for awhile. It's making me very nervous.

I've heard how paypal will freeze an account and payout after 180 days. This seems pretty routine. My question is this: is there ever a scenario in which paypal will keep the money and not return it eventually? Has this happened to anyone?

I'm not frozen btw.

First I never keep more then I can afford to want to lose in account.

I keep mine drained out.

If you do not change the bank info etc you should be good when time expires.

It is rare, but have read a few times that money not released... Dunno if true or circumstance since it was not me.

They will keep it if they feel there was any illegally activity on the account. Such as fraudulent sales, identity theft, stolen credit card, etc.
If it is just that they can not verify who you say you are, they will usually release in 180 days.

Everything is on a case by case basis.

Chances exist for fuds to be held forever.

Ensure you read the T&S of paypal.

They define their right to do wtheck they want.

Live with it or dont use paypal
