Modee, I believe you about the FTC but also think they are making money on you money....I think 180 days is insane..

hateebaymorethanyou 10-26-2007 09:25 PM

A paypal employee actually bragged to my husband about not being a REAL bank and not having to follow the rules of a real bank.

I hate them!

Good luck getting that money back from Paypal. I hear it's rare that they give it back and if they do it takes far longer than the 180 days and usually takes you threatening an attorney.

I am so glad I only have $13.00 in my account when they closed me. Getting ready to start over with a new account and using Bidpay. Just rereading (for the 100th time) to make sure I am not missing anything.

New to this bs called Ebay and their suspensions!

mr burns 11-13-2007 08:33 AM

well i opened a paymate account it was working fine untill ebay linked my account and suspended me then i received an email of paymate saying they have limited my account because i am no longer a registered ebay user and wanted to know why? so paymate mite not give your info to ebay but ebay gives it to them so be carefull. I was putting a paymate link on my ebay listings though so i think this is were i made my mistake.

Thanks great resources!

Paypal just limited my account not because of suspension ties but because this paypal account is new and receiving lots of payments. I buy top line household goods from my in-laws kitchen and bath store at their cost. He recently suffered a stroke and cannot operate the day to day matter. I pay them CASH. Paypal is insisting for supplier info and contact numbers. I tried to explain that they want nothing to do with being contacted in fear that it may come back to bite them from their vendors.

Any suggestions? Someone know bogus supplier contact? I'll pay $$$ to get me that.

Plus, I have ebay buyers willing to pay me by google checkout but they have a 500.00 limitation. What the heck?

imjustme 12-02-2007 02:49 AM

Let me guess, you withdrew every last cent from PayPal all the time? If you get $1000 in payments in a week, leave $100 in there. Or at least enough to cover for 3-4 refunds.

mojoyuni 12-02-2007 03:07 AM

Really? So I screwed myself...I read somewhere in here to withdraw and leave nothing. Crap. Any idea from here?

imjustme 12-02-2007 07:26 AM

Some people say withdraw it all, some say leave some in there. I can only speak for what worked for me. Whenever I withdrew everything, I got limited around the $1000-$2000 mark. When I always left enough in there for about 3-4 refunds, I've been so far able to withdraw over $10000 without ever being asked for anything by PayPal. They have millions of accounts, they can't go ask documentation for every each one of them. It's based on risk. If you always withdraw everything, they're faced with the risk of you not being able to cover refunds. What if you sell things for $2000 and don't leave them anything for their safety? Of course they will limit you. I would do so as well. They can't give complete strangers thousands of dollars of free credit, so to speak.

Just as I had thought BidPay was sounding like the answer lolpie has to show an "Urgent Notice".

lolpie.... I'm holding you responsible for this.

Don't worry Jonas, I got the punch-line. I can't wait until the strike is over and The Office is back on the air!

lolpie 01-11-2008 10:51 PM

Abraham Lincoln once said that if you are a racist, I will attack you with the north, and these are the principals I carry with me into the workplace.

shellz48 02-27-2008 04:42 PM

bidpay is shut down! ahh! has anyone used auction checkout before?

MissKim 02-28-2008 03:49 PM

From now on, I suggest you use your own merchants on EBAY, this will make paypal lose money, and maybe make ebay think about the way they treat their users.
Even though the MERCHANT account requires you to send or FAX papers to ebay to prove that you own it.

ehehehe, from an englishman: American office is better than the English office, IMHO.
