It appears this is just something that Paypal has introduced as "norm". Meaning get used to seeing this message because I have been also receiving it across all boards on all my accounts. Although it can be extremely unsettling. I am not concerned nor do I think we should be

I received the 72 hour message last night around 20:00 ET. Checked my BoA account at 16:00 ET today and the money is not there. Fingers crossed and I'll report back once I receive a result. The only negative result I've seen so far is from member "thetrig" after a lot of searching.

When it says 72 hrs it usually means wait 72 hrs then they attempt the deposit and then usually one business day after that.

Only personal PayPal accounts will see this. Business PayPal accounts will not see this.

I get this message on every transfer now. Have had it for the past 2 months. I just roll with it now. 24hr delay this time and I just take it into consideration that I need to do my transfers every Sunday & Monday to have the money the same week.

I think its another scheme to make even more interest on our money and improve company metrics.

FYI: Following up on my post from 12/06/2017... After a 72 hour hold from PayPal and another 24 for my bank to complete the transaction the funds have been successfully deposited into my account. I transferred funds 2 days later and the same message displayed but the wait was only 24 hours. Not something anyone needs to worry about as long as you follow the procedures specified on this forum.

Just did a transfer. First time in a long time I did not get the Transfer Delay Message. Also, all my payments are instant payments, even my high dollar items! WHO HOO!

Yes, but if you look at the actual transaction under your Main Page, you'll see that plenty of withdrawals are still being held up as "pending". I've had some withdrawals pending for up to 3-5 days. So its happening to biz accounts too.

In my estimation, it's just aking said. Just another way for them to hold onto your money longer - whether its because they want to gain interest, or just an excuse for them to minimize their risk for accounts that don't have the 21 day holds any longer (e.g. a way for them to delay "instantly" available payments), it is definitely the new norm.

Unbelievable.

How old is your PayPal? How many goods and services and friends and family transactions have you done?

I went two months with every withdrawal (10 or so) hitting my bank account the next business day. Since then, nearly all of my withdrawals have been under the "72 hour" nonsense, except within the last two weeks or so, now I don't get the "72 hour" message, but it still takes the same amount of time for the withdrawals to hit my bank account as it did when I got the "72 hour" message. Anyone else having this problem?

I just saw this message on one of my Canadian stealths, its 2 years old. First time its happened. I usually withdraw from this account only once a month. It was $3500. I always leave over $150 in the account or a bit more. I don't sell on eBay so this has nothing to do with eBay. I also got the email about the 1 business day. Ill keep on eye on it and see when the money fully transfers. I won't withdraw from another account for another 4 days or so. So if i see it again ill repost here

This is simply how PayPal make more money, if they hold onto say 25,000 peoples money, every other day, how much interest do they make?

This is true. Happens to me.

I'm noticing if the withdrawal is more than 50% of the funds in the account that particular day then I get the delay. Happened last Thursday and funds were there on Monday. Happened again Monday's transfer and funds were there today (Wednesday). Did not happen yesterday's transfer and those funds were also there today (Wednesday). Go figure.

Update from my post. Money showed up 48 hours later. Not a big deal. I withdrew from another stealth, I didn't see that message. This time it was $2500. I think what may have caused the message to pop up was that i had recently swapped out IP's because the previous one was no longer working... That's what may of triggered it. I just didn't remember until a couple of days ago.

48 hours isn't so long indeed - good update.

same thing just happened to me the other day. said 48 hours...its just about 48 hours now and still waiting. shtting bricks right about now. recently got back into the game on a strong 3 year old acct going semi slow for the past 3 months. about $1500 a month in sales with ein added and all. started selling heavily this month did about 3k in sales in a month , withdrew about $400-500 per week with next day deposit to my bank no issues. then on Monday I go to withdraw another 400 and bam..."transfer delayed" maybe my sudden activity triggered it, but I'm heavily invested at the moment and I'm sweating...this thread made me feel a tad bit better though. keep you guys updated

Cool Re: "Your transfer is delayed"

Just got this for the first time myself. I had just added a new debit card and used it as the destination dump for my measly 100 dollar transfer... but it knows its legit because it accepted it after i typo’d accidentally entering the number initially. So like wtf. Is there an avereage time approximation anybody’s come to or is it individually impossible to figure out? Cuz i paid a dang QUARTER for my money quick and i want all 25 of those cents worth of service!
