Every situation is its own - lot of details need to be considered per account - setup, sales, actions, etc

i have no US paypals but EU, and i have this "Claim your money" button sometimes. it seems to be related to the buyers payment method in my case as it is very rare and i can not see any pattern in the countries or amounts.

We do not have SSN here, so i am not forced to enter any additional info, just click the button..

maybe it is because the buyers account is not verified?!

hi thats the answer I got from one of the top members in this forum
I have a usa
PayPal
the claim your money issue atleast in the United States you have or to connect bank account to withdraw the funds (not vba)
or add ssn (that of course its a stealth PayPal and we don't want to do that)
there is no way around it this accounts getting picked randomly by PayPal
if someone else have a different way I would like to hear thank you

If I'm wrong and it still wants your SSN after adding a VBA or real bank, then that's scary. That could indicate Paypal is finally making the transition to being a real bank/merch acct provider in order to make up for the losses they'll incur by eBay cutting them off in 5 years.

They first thing i did was add a bank to the paypal when i mae it and it says claim it still

A bank account verifies a paypal.

A vcc confirms a paypal.

Tell us what you have done.

add screen shoots of the paypal message please.

:juggle:

I would appreciate how your accounts are made, and could you supply a screen shoot of the paypal message.thanks.

:ranger:

50% chance if he add a vcc and vba .
otherwise now paypal asking to add ssn

I have a pp account with only like $2+, it is asking for a SSN or EIN. I can not claim the funds from it. The funds ended up there from friends and family transfers. It's only a buying account.

I used the account only to buy game code sales that where limited 1 code per pp account.

This is happening to everyone I guess...

Was testing with a buyer account based on pp.com - received some money - was asked for last 4 digits of ssn and to upload id just to accept $3 USD

Im experiencing this issue too. The first clue something was different in PP was the "Claim It" blue button I had never seen this before. I admit the account does not have a bank account attached yet. But if I link a bank account do I still have to give them my social to withdraw funds?

no you should be able to withdraw. I have semi-stealth that holds money and I can still withdraw to bank

If you register a bank account it would show to PayPal that you have given your SSN to the bank to open it and should not require SSN when attached to PayPal.
