Yeah, my real job pays 6 figures so yeah I trudge up there and put my 30 hours a week in, I keep telling you guys I do ebay stealth for a hobby. I found a niche that that cost are around 8% of sales so my return on hobby time is pretty darn good, One of you guys messaged me and actually figured out what I sell, Said it was pretty ballsy to sell that, but he would too if he had the connection. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out my niche, that by the way I OWN!!! So Granulator and little green sprout and 1974 you guys need to lighten the "f" up LOL

I don't have balls so I can't compare whose is bigger here, but my stealth stores bring in more than your real job so you can knock yourself down off that high horse. You aren't impressing anybody with your tales of hobby shops.

Kajunrook, please don't be "that guy". Telling of your income blah blah. It's distracting from the topic at hand, not very becoming, and is the easiest to see sign of fabrication/insecurity. Like the guy who puts on his Tinder profile that he's 6'3", and when you meet is actually a solid 5'7".

Let's get this thread back on, and stick to, topic - as this is a big issue that affects us all. We all have some skin in the game (be it "hobby" or not) or we wouldn't even be reading these posts.

Let's continue the healthy dialogue and try to bring useful information and experiences to the table! [emoji106]

Since when does having a job impress entrepreneurs? 100K? a month? I certainly would not trade a year for 100K. Good grief, that is slave labor and max tax!

Well those three just need to lighten up, I got tired of hearing their silliness too, DID you address them also?? Didn't look like it to me.
And ON TOPIC I just got a message from Paypal thanking me for adding a bank account to my latest paypal BUT if I wanted to use balance to pay bills I would have to provide ID documentation. So all these guys that think in two weeks everything is going to be business as usual are NOT getting the message, yeah you can add a bank account and a credit card and pay with that, but you will not be able to use your stealth credit card balance to pay for anything.

DUDE, most of us withdraw to banks. We dont do anything else. What is the hangup? You are spewing the same crap we knew weeks ago. What is the problem? How is this effecting ANYONE who runs a business?

and the prepaid card we discussed in detail in this thread is for EBAY. Nothing to do with paypal at all. Just ebay fees on the ebay website. Not paypal at all. Also, the last time I checked, you can add a bank account to ebay to pay your fees as well. It could be the same bank account as you withdraw to from paypal. Helping you connect these hard to grasp dots we put down.

Kajunrook, no I did not address anyone else. Only you. Only you were the one making known your income, items you sell, etc. This forum is broken down neatly into numerous categories which could possibly pertain to those topics. But not this thread. Is it specifically about the TOS update. Always bring it back to that.

And "those three" have been on and well respected in this forum for quite some time. Not that any of us are all knowing in this unknown subject - but I would take heed to what they say.

Maybe you are right, maybe you are wrong. THAT is the only fact. Anything other than that, we will all know in 12 days time.

I want to toss out that the reason I am being "tough" in this thread is because of the fear mongering. No need for it. It is not productive or useful. Things change a couple times a year. No matter what, it is a fraction as challenging as Amazon right now. No need to fear monger especially when the three doing it the most are pretty ignorant to the game to begin with.

Good point.

It’s already up for live testing on Adyens platform (If you merchant process through them) and it’s going to be almost play by play like Etsy.

That said, for some foreign folks it’s still going to cause problems as it will force them off their non-country specific eBay platforms. You can still sell on the main website but your true location will be known.

There will not be a work around for appearing to be in countries you aren’t.

So people worried about PayPal right now should be concerned that they have 36 months (and less in some areas) to convert or rebuild on other country’s eBay. This will be a bigger problem than adding a bank to PayPal.
