Tonight I tried an experiment on an expendable account. I logged into a Paypal account a few years old with nothing sold through the Account. There is no Bank Account attached to this account either.

I generated an Entropay Card and added it. I immediately received a warning saying the Card has been declined. I decided to give it a second go and add it again. This time it worked.

I logged out and back in again 5 minutes later. The account is now limited.

I am not sure if this is because the Account has had no sales or Bank Account attached, or it is solely down to Entropay.

In any event I am avoiding Entropay now on my established Accounts.

It is solely down to adding entropay. This is the same issue being reported by everyone using certain cards.

I'm just suprised there's not more people posting threads about it.

Glad I tested it out first on an expendable account.

Bare in mind, the Entro cards have a one year expiry date.

So people will only find out when it comes to replace the card.....

I must stress I added Entros to 3 established accounts in December with Banks Accounts and sales history with no issues.

Part of me is itching to find out if this really is just a security update...

It's only been happening for the last 10 days or so.

Anything added before that won't have caused the issue.

If you made 20 accounts now I'd bet all 20 give you the same limitation. It's a crackdown on certain cards.

It's very risky to purchase VCCs from sellers that you don't know. The safest way is to create them yourself and be 100% that no one else used them before.
