Isn't Spotify a music service? I listen to it myself with my Echo (Alexa) speaker, but I wasn't aware they did anything financial.

This thread is actually about the OP who sold $62k worth of watches and got charged back on. We were all supposed to give him advise and might have scared him off with the direction this thread as turned.

OP has more to be scared of than our contribution to his thread.
Once he uploaded his vendor invoice that he purchased 500 Michael Kors watches from a Canadian seller, for this kind of money ,the cc issuer which decides the outcome would be calling M Kors & Co to verify this Canadian supplier.
If it turns out they have never done business with him,it will contact legal authority to track down his source, probably a factory in China, every one in the pathway could be in trouble, from the factory,to the wholesaler to the reseller and retailer and the payment processor and the sales venues (ebay, wmt, and probably amzn, bonanza, retail stores all over the world).
If the factory can churn out 500 watches in no time, what else is it churning out?
if this buyer of his who ordered 500 MK watches and now want some Cassio watches,if he can move such large number, why is he ordering from some stranger on internet, why cant he find a cheaper source and cut out this middleman?
He insisted on making Paypal payments,he is leaving a trail behind,he may think he is covered by Paypal buyer protection,cc chargeback, but he should have paid with cash instead.
And I dont mean wiretransfer, cahsier check or money order, postal order,I mean Cash cASH .
Lets hope for the best that these are authentic MK watches for OP sake

The only person in trouble is the owner of the paypal account. Nobody is gonna spend anytime looking for a factory in china cause they will never find it LOL. Obviously they are not auth watches. Because if they were op wouldn't be so worried. Anyways OP. Best thing u should do is tell ur "biz partner" to claim he had no idea what was going on and was hacked or something. But if the money was going to the persons bank account yeah u got some legal issues. Anyways Paypal deserve shiiit like this for allowing retards to complain for 6 months. WHAT A JOKE.

LOL paypal aint gonna contact anyone or look for anyone, they are gonna leave the account in the RED and MAYBE go to court. They arent gonna jump through hoops to look for who to blame. They will do what there normal protocol is and it ends there. You have way too much faith in the system. Account owner is gonna foot the bill or paypal will.

I did not try to scam anyone or lie to anyone here, the buyer came to me and asked me to source him branded watches, my supplier is an authorized reseller for Movado watches that's what I was selling on eBay only, I just don't have any experience with MK and Seiko watches, I bought off these watches from a guy in Canada and resell them to the buyer, I did not make much money as I just wanted to keep the business relationship with the buyer, I am not sure if they are real, so I let the buyer to find out, I have no intention to sell knockoffs to anyone, why people here are so sure about what I was selling?

Anyway, lessons learned, I want to thank you agent006140,there are lots of useful information you've provided, I will try to solve the issue with the buyer without any third party involved and I will send the update here.

Also my business partner not just let me use her information, we set up LLC in the US for PayPal sales taxes, she got 50% in eBay sales profits.
Lol your joking right? Everything you posted screams "I sell f4ke watches". It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know your not buying 500+ authentic high end watches from "Canada" & flipping them to someone else who is selling them all in a couples months and everyone is able to make profit off of it.

There is a BIG red flag about the OP's story:

If the watches were 100% authentic and he was indeed scammed out of $62,000 as claimed, WHY IN HELL didn't he involve the authorities straight away?

When scammed like this, normal people sure as hell would make a report to law enforcement or complete an Affidavit of Fraud available at any police station, courthouse, or attorney.

Criminals would normally not want to draw attention to themselves, I guess for obvious reasons.

Making a formal Police Report and Fraud Affidavit go a long way to establish credibility to to the OP's case. There is no mention of that anywhere in this thread.

This is not outright theft, the case is pending or was pending ,the issue is authenticity,a he said she said situation which the cc issuer would have to decide, and what is the best way to determine if they are authentic is to call the manufacturer Michael KOrs & Company.

Chargeback is decide by the buyer's cc issuer, not Paypal/

Sure they can find the factory.. but they have 0 recourse after that. Those kinds of factories operate with the government's blessing in CN.

Uh, yeah, they do to this day. Chinese bootleg factories are churning out just as much inventory as they always have. They are a revenue stream for the Chinese gov't which also helps to "destabilize the western economy" so China hasn't done anything about them.. other than promote what they're doing within China.

I don't care what you've heard on the news.. absolutely nothing has changed.

It's common knowledge to anybody who deals with China regularly. I'll try to find a link for you later.

What Are the Legal Consequences of Selling Counterfeit Goods?
A person who is caught distributing or manufacturing counterfeit goods could face severe legal penalties under such statutes. The penalties for violating anti-counterfeiting laws can include:

5-10 years in prison
Fines of up to $500,000 (possibly more depending on the case)
In addition, anti-counterfeiting laws allow authorities to seize counterfeit goods, money from the sales, as well as any property that was used in connection with the distribution. This means that authorities may seize vehicles which were used to transport the items, or the machinery that was used to make them.

Lastly, manufacturers and distributors of counterfeit merchandise can also be sued in a private civil lawsuit by the company whose trademark or copyright was infringed upon.

Do I Need a Lawyer for Legal Issues with Counterfeit Goods?
If you are facing criminal charges in connection with counterfeit goods, you may wish to speak with an experienced criminal defense attorney. Your lawyer can advise you on the various trade laws of your state. Or, if you suspect that someone has been counterfeiting your product, you can contact a lawyer
