the buyer has 6 month to file a case if anything was to go wrong with it, paypal see this high risk

Paypal is asking for a lot of information from him,it seems to me they are catching the retail arbitragers, those who have no inventory and use the customer payment to buy from vendors who will do the shipping.
as for no warranty and 6 months chargeback/disptes,Paypal can always put a reserve, rolling reserve on his account,so far his buyers are not complaining

yes, they will check, they will call or if they already have saved up a list of suppliers, they will search that list.

Re: Paypal asking for supplier invoice (second hand goods)

I have all items to hand before selling. I can prove this to them as all my listings show item photos all taken with exactly the same background in my office showing they all must be with me to take the pics

No I mean auction houses the sell mixed lots of electrical goods on pallets, I bought one of a couple of years ago from an online auction company and made some good money on it

sorry not sure what you mean? I cant use that invoice as the lot did not contain any items that I sold in January this year. Paypal only want invoices for any electrical goods sold in Jan of this year

What ever you send real or not real, the outcome will be the same....180 days wait for what's in paypal too

Re: Paypal asking for supplier invoice (second hand goods)

I am not worried about waiting for my money at all. I just don't want paypal to close my account. If my account stays open I am more than happy to wait the 180 days for each payment. I just need help in how to explain all this to paypal. Hopefully there are people on here with good experience with dealing with paypal and how to word what I need to put to keep account alive

I'm convinced you drop this kind of bull$hit into every thread to deliberately derail it.

cant you tell from the Paypal email what they are looking for?
You dont think they just make up this email for him?
It has been sending this email out to many sellers, resellers.

There's no guarantee your account will survive whatever you do. If paypal deems you a risk theres nothing you can do to save the account.

Either be honest or mock up invoices, then hope for the best.

the 180 day wait is what follows account being closed
I doubt anyone on here will have a good deasling experience with paypal who buy trash and sell it refurbished...... i know one.... argos outlet, execpt they offer 12 month warranty

Jonnybravo 01-13-2020 08:53 AM

Re: Paypal asking for supplier invoice (second hand goods)

I don't sell trash? I sell items with 90 day warranty that are fully working. If I cant repair then I list as 'parts/does not work'
There must be thousands of people on ebay who buy used items at reduced prices from other auction sites and then re-sell on ebay that has more exposure than these other sites and items tend to sell for more

Re: Paypal asking for supplier invoice (second hand goods)

My ebay account is fine and has superb feedback. Its just paypal wanting this info. In worst case if paypal close my account would buying just a paypal stealth account and adding it my good ebay account work?

agent006140 01-13-2020 08:58 AM

Re: Paypal asking for supplier invoice (second hand goods)

Plenty of Ebay sellers buy on Ebay either lots or individual pieces and then resell on Ebay,Etsy or flea market or their own brick and mortar stores.
Once I found a buyer who bought from me,marked them up 10 times and resell them on liveauctioneer !!
why not call Ebay first and ask ,but then you may get a rep who does not know much!

Re: Paypal asking for supplier invoice (second hand goods)

ebay are not the problem they are fine with what I am doing. Its just paypal, in fact ebay just increased my limits to 3000 items and £50,000 per month allowed to sell

Paypal will link your paypal accounts via your Ebay account.
You have to open a new Ebay account with your new stealth Paypal account.
Have you called Paypal ,this email is not written with just you in mind,it is sent out to many Paypal members .

I haven't called yet, as did not want to tell them the wrong thing before getting exact plan on what to tell them,

Re: Paypal asking for supplier invoice (second hand goods)

i think i will just ring and go with the honest approach and explain that i buy from other websites and re-sell to make a profit, I am not sure what the repercussions may be if i send dodgy invoice and they find out. As invoice fraud in the Uk can carry a prison sentence i think
