Can't add new bank account to my paypal.

I've been using a stealth paypal account over 6 years . and I'm trying to add one more my US wells fargo bank account into my paypal . The name on the bank account DOESN'T match the name on the PayPal account ( I don't think it should be a problem if the name doesn't match. Is this correct ? )

The PROBLEM is that Paypal is showing error 'Sorry, we are not able to process your request. Please try again later' when trying to add my bank account.


Any thought ?

yes, your account is flagged because you tried to add a new bank to your account. THeir bot deemed it suspicious.

If it's not important , stick with your old account. If you MUST add this account, try again in 4-5 days and that doesn't work, you'll have to call PP

You'll probably need to call in and add it over the phone. If you're lucky, you'll get the automated answering system and you'd just need to give your routing and account # to the friendly robot.

I had the same problem a few years ago and had to call in to add the bank account. I think they make it hard to add new bank accounts to old Paypal's on purpose as a fraud prevention measure.

If you experience the same problem after adding a phone, you have no other choice anyway. It is very likely of names that do not match.

In a brick and mortar mode,can i just take a check made out to you and deposit into my bank account?
with or without endorseing it.
Why would these banks like BAC,WFC,C,JPM allow Paypal to keep sending ??

It's a long story.but I have to add a new bank and remove the old one later.

I tried it again after 5 days. this time PP wants to send a security code to my original phone number that I don't have access it. and then I added my new phone to PP in order to receive the code. but after add the new phone, same problem again : "Sorry, we are not able to process your request. Please try again later." LOL

I was not lucky : (. it was not robot to help add new bank and due to coronavirus, all the customer service representatives are unavailable . but they do have live chat .

Do you know what they should ask for if I do live chat with them in order to add my new bank. ? my pp is stealth. will not be able to provide any docs

I added my new phone number in PP in order to receive security code.
I guess have to wait a while before try again to add new bank. but don't know how long should wait and don't know if it worth to wait .

Problem is their centers are all down right now so no phone support.
