Dilemma....
Here's my dilemma...
I paid for a ps5 pre order from a big ish retailer, during the order process their website crashed, but they took the PayPal payment. I called them and they said there's no order under my name nor address and so I'll get a refund within 5 days. 2 weeks passed and no refund, I called them again and they said there is a order created and they'll email it to me. No email came through (even spam). I spoke to them another 5 or 6 times and each time they either say there is no order created under my name or address OR that there is a order.
It all got frustrating so I opened a PayPal dispute.
They've been talking in PayPal messages on the dispute and have asked whether I want a refund or not. This time they've actually given an order number in the same message too!
So here's my dillema, I want the ps5. But, the PayPal dispute closes tomorrow! What should I do? Escalate it to a PayPal claim or let it close and if I want my money back I can contact PayPal to get them to reopen the dispute? Since they can see the retailer messaged saying they can refund it.
