lifetime limit warning

I sent money for a friend, and after sending the payment successfully, I read this note under the transaction details:

the recipient has a lifetime limit to send, spend or withdraw.

upon reaching this limit, the recipient must take certain actions to lift the limit.

I asked my friend and he hasn't been limited yet and he has full access to the account.

does that mean that he's gonna get limited very soon?

no, but my account is US account and my friend's account is Canadian.

they are talking about my friend's account.

I did some googling and I think you may have seen that message as a glitch. Everybody in this eBay support thread (eBay link - https://community.ebay.com/t5/Archiv.../td-p/23703192) says that Paypal did away with lifetime limits back in 2014.

i think it means that their account isn't verified/confirmed and that he received the max amount of money he can without being verified/confirmed

yes there is? if you aren't ID verified your account can only receive 2500 eur before they force an ID check down your throat, they can still do this before but if you're in good standings its 2500 eur, its due to regulations im pretty sure

My friend's account is Canadian, not European account.

I don't know if they also have a limited amount before they ask for ID, but that might be the case.
