Using friends info (SSN) on PayPal, switch to EIN or new account?

College friend gave me his info (ID, SSN, etc) to make PayPal since I was banned on personal account ages ago.

He moved out of the country and I don't keep in touch with him. Up until now, I have been keeping it under 200 items/$20K so no 1099K and just reporting profits on my personal taxes.

Don't want to make stealth because I sell high risk items and they will ask ID, SSN etc. and invoices like before. Asked invoices before, legit items, but personal items. Asked me for invoices before and luckily the few invoices I had were for the items I sold recently.

Anyways, can I register for an EIN in my own name and give to PayPal or will PayPal try to verify the EIN matches the stealth name? And I don't think there is a way to take his SSN off the account, but as long as there is an EIN PayPal tells me it gets reported to the EIN and not SSN, correct?

Yes an EIN would work.
Youll need to upgrade the account to a business one and provide the EIN so in the future all tax issue will impact the business and not the individual to whom the acct was registered.
