Hello, before you ask, yes I've read the
stealth guide, or at least an old version of it, but a lot of it is not relevant since I have no interest in eBay, and I don't plan on doing anything sketchy on the account.
I created a business PayPal for my software business, linked all my legit information, used it for 2 months, got limited, verified the transactions, used it again, and then got banned for violating their Acceptable use Policy. seems my software was against their rules though I can't find any information about it in the actual policy. Stripe on the other hand had no issues with it and verified my account after a manual review. suffice to say it's pretty grey area.
When my business account was banned, my personal one, of 15+ years was banned.
I would like to have a PayPal account for legitimate purposes. Buying something from someone online, selling a guitar via a classifieds forum, etc.
I have attempted to appeal my personal account closure through the BBB and emailing executives at PayPal, but no response yet.
If I were to create a new PayPal account, which approach should/ could I use? Obviously new bank account/ IP/ browser etc.
This is for a US account.
Option 1. Use my work address. My name is actually messed up on my drivers license, and that it looks like my first name is a 2 parter (like Mary lou) so I could utilize that as my name. As far as SSN, I have not signed up for an EIN ever, so I was planning on doing that and linking that to my account instead of my ssn. and as for a document, I could use my passport instead of drivers license this time.
Option 2. Create an account under my wife's name. She is still in the process of changing her last name, so it might be nice to get an account in her old name before it's changed. Problem here is that the address is the same as mine obviously, how much of a problem is that?
Option 3. I'm actually a dual citizen, I have a passport to another country, though I do not have any addresses, bank accounts, or tax numbers associated in that country. If I create an account with this information, it would be weird to accept payments from people locally (for example a craigslist meetup).
