| Whataboutism | 07-06-2024 07:19 AM | Patreon/Paypal combo Hey guys, newb here.
I have website that sells VIP access to certain content(gray area) and I charge users via Patreon that then transfers money to paypal.
Is this the best and safest way to avoid KYC from both sides?
So far I've managed to pull out some money(P2P crypto) and pay for servers and other services without problems.
I started to warm up account 1 year ago(added phone, credit card and logged in from time to time, but no money on account) and last 2 months I've been pulling some $$$ out that is increasing every week, steadily.
Is this combo the best because there are no cashbacks or physical goods.
Because it's in the gray area, I try to avoid any KYC if possible
Tips that I've gathered and am following atm(but not verified): - Keeping under 1k on account.
- Not withdrawing right away when money arrives
- Withdrawing 50-70% of the whole balance
- Withdrawing max once a day. Preferably once a week

The way you do it seems very good to me, you shouldn't change your strategy. Although I would ask what you sell on your website.
| Thanks.
I'm selling digital goods/SaaS. |

Thanks.
I'm selling digital goods/SaaS. | I know on eBay it's always risky to sell digital goods.
Paypal though I think should be ok. |
Re: Patreon/Paypal combo Agree with SaiJin - removing eb from the equation changes quite a bit on the use of pp...you should be ok as long as not a lot of chargebacks and issues |

Is there some kind of limit on paypal on how much money you can withdraw until they ask KYC? |

Is there some kind of limit on paypal on how much money you can withdraw until they ask KYC? | what is your average incoming payment amount/ and how much times that amount do you have in the balance/ |

Re: Patreon/Paypal combo with pp, there was a kind of consensus to keep 3-4x the average sale in the account in order to keep it 'purring nicely' - dont withdraw to zero and certainly not right away after a sale |

But the majority of the $ I'd withdraw to the bank immediately. |

I don't trust them and neither should you |

Especially with digital goods which is very risky. |

Especially with digital goods which is very risky. | Patreon is a great payment gateway that takes care of the subscription/recurring payments and they only pay out to paypal or payoneer. Paypal is only one that doesn't ask KYC right away |

| Side question, isn't patreon mainly used for XXX content? |

Thats just one thing it can be used for
Lots of IG creators also use it. Photographers. People doing lots of charity. IG cannot be monetised in the same way youtube / tiktok etc can be so they use patreon a lot instead. I would say only a small part of those that use patreon are XXX providers. Most xxx use OF |
