Any alternative to withdrawing money from paypal?

Is there anything that would work as a bank account for paypal? I already verified my prepaid card on paypal and now i want to link a bank account so i can remove that 500 monthly withdraw limit and have a way to withdraw my money, so is there any like prepaid card that currently works with paypal as a place to withdraw money too?

There is a Visa card at walmart that actually has a bank account attached to it. You do need to use your SS# to activate the card though. So you can use that as a credit card on paypal and also a bank account on paypal.

Thanks for that info. Is it a debit gift card? Did you use this and what bank is the bank account with?

philly387 03-11-2010 09:36 PM

Yes it is a debit gift card, you can call it that anyways. I have used this for both paypal and amazon. The bank account and card is actually through GE Money Bank which I am pretty sure paypal uses that same bank.

Ohh I thought PayPal used Wells Fargo and now Chase?

philly387 03-12-2010 10:28 AM

It could be, oge. But I heard GE Money Bank and I think I saw it somewhere as well. Off to do some research to find out :)

Ok well...

"The law is unclear as to whether PayPal is a bank, narrow bank, money services business or money transmitter. PayPal could also be subject to state regulation, but state laws vary, as do their definitions of banks, narrow banks, money services businesses and money transmitters. The most analogous regulatory source of law for PayPal transactions comes from P2P payments using credit and debit cards."

The only reason why I said that is for 2 reasons. First off I got PayPal check a few months ago and it was drawn on a Wells Fargo account. But this could be accounts payable but maybe the accounts receiveable is GE Moneybank I don't know. Then on the debit card it shows JP Morgan Chase Bank as the card issuer.

I went to walmart today and tried to look for the card. There were 2, one called "Gift card" and one called "money card". The gift card was not reloadable and was $50 and gold color.

The other which was a money card was reloadable up to $1000 and came in silver or black and needed your SSN.

I asked them which one has a bank account. Not surprisingly, they didn't know. So which one is it? Thanks.

cardfelon 03-12-2010 05:10 PM

I don't know for sure but since the money card is reloadable I would think that is the card that is associated with a bank account. Plus its called a "Money" card versus "Gift" card

oge 03-12-2010 11:43 PM

Yes it is the Walmart Money Card that needs your ssn and is reloadable. You can reload it via direct deposit, any cashier, or the walmart atm.

oge 03-15-2010 08:01 AM

^^^^ You are a little late I already have that card.

If your talking to me. I didn't tell you what card it was.

Anyway I was wondering about the Walmart Money Card. Can I use that card on Paypal to get Verified on a Brand New account without loading any money on the card? I want to get about 10 of these cards.

How do you run out of banks? You just need a new account number....

Why would you use a wal mart money card when you can open a suntrust, bank of america, or chase account for free?

I have that card to at least a dozen of them, they're called prepaid debit cards, all of them are basically the same and the reason some people use them over real banks is because they have bad credit and also no nsf fees.

eurovive 03-19-2010 11:00 AM

There are numerous scams in paypal widthdrawing services results in google.
Beware of them.
They require you to send money first and after they gone.
Like in David Guetta song "Now you gone , what i am gonna do?".

I didn't feel like driving around to 10 different banks. I got 2 walmart money cards now. However, do you put your real ssn and name? Cuz won't paypal verify this?
