| ryder1721 | 02-21-2010 01:16 AM | Any alternative to withdrawing money from paypal? Is there anything that would work as a bank account for paypal? I already verified my prepaid card on paypal and now i want to link a bank account so i can remove that 500 monthly withdraw limit and have a way to withdraw my money, so is there any like prepaid card that currently works with paypal as a place to withdraw money too? |

| philly387 | 03-11-2010 07:36 PM | There is a Visa card at walmart that actually has a bank account attached to it. You do need to use your SS# to activate the card though. So you can use that as a credit card on paypal and also a bank account on paypal. |

| philly387 | 03-11-2010 09:36 PM | Yes it is a debit gift card, you can call it that anyways. I have used this for both paypal and amazon. The bank account and card is actually through GE Money Bank which I am pretty sure paypal uses that same bank. |

| philly387 | 03-12-2010 10:28 AM | It could be, oge. But I heard GE Money Bank and I think I saw it somewhere as well. Off to do some research to find out :) |
| philly387 | 03-12-2010 10:32 AM | Ok well...
"The law is unclear as to whether PayPal is a bank, narrow bank, money services business or money transmitter. PayPal could also be subject to state regulation, but state laws vary, as do their definitions of banks, narrow banks, money services businesses and money transmitters. The most analogous regulatory source of law for PayPal transactions comes from P2P payments using credit and debit cards."

- PayPal - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia | The only reason why I said that is for 2 reasons. First off I got PayPal check a few months ago and it was drawn on a Wells Fargo account. But this could be accounts payable but maybe the accounts receiveable is GE Moneybank I don't know. Then on the debit card it shows JP Morgan Chase Bank as the card issuer. |

There were 2, one called "Gift card" and one called "money card". The gift card was not reloadable and was $50 and gold color.
The other which was a money card was reloadable up to $1000 and came in silver or black and needed your SSN.
I asked them which one has a bank account. Not surprisingly, they didn't know. So which one is it? Thanks. |
| cardfelon | 03-12-2010 05:10 PM | I don't know for sure but since the money card is reloadable I would think that is the card that is associated with a bank account. Plus its called a "Money" card versus "Gift" card |
Yes it is the Walmart Money Card that needs your ssn and is reloadable. You can reload it via direct deposit, any cashier, or the walmart atm. |
^^^^ You are a little late I already have that card. |

If your talking to me. I didn't tell you what card it was.
Anyway I was wondering about the Walmart Money Card. Can I use that card on Paypal to get Verified on a Brand New account without loading any money on the card? I want to get about 10 of these cards. |

How do you run out of banks? You just need a new account number....
Why would you use a wal mart money card when you can open a suntrust, bank of america, or chase account for free? |

:ranger: |
| jbluntz | 03-19-2010 08:35 AM | I have that card to at least a dozen of them, they're called prepaid debit cards, all of them are basically the same and the reason some people use them over real banks is because they have bad credit and also no nsf fees. |
| eurovive | 03-19-2010 11:00 AM | There are numerous scams in paypal widthdrawing services results in google.
Beware of them.
They require you to send money first and after they gone.
Like in David Guetta song "Now you gone , what i am gonna do?".

| djmusic | 03-22-2010 01:51 PM | is there any option to withdraw cash from your paypal with complete anonmity? i.e. not having to use your info, ssn, etc???? it seems eveything I have seen thus far at the very least requires a SSN..... |

| OfficialGenius | 03-23-2010 06:05 AM | Is there a limit to the walmart cards a single person could get? |

O if you buy a 2 pack then it only costs $10 per card not the $20 min.? |

I was thinking the same thing. I just open up a bank account. |

| First Edition | 03-24-2010 09:03 AM | When you purchase this card, you are in fact opening a bank account.
Does anyone read the terms and conditions? They verify your information like any other bank is required to do.
If you have 10 wal mart money cards, you have 10 bank accounts. |

Yes, I already have 6 BOA accounts myself that I have already used on Paypal and Amazon that are all limited and suspended now.
You guys are missing my point -- I DO NOT WANT TO ADD ANY MONEY TO THIS CARD.-- I just want to use it to get verified on Paypal. 411guru said the cashier ask him if he wanted to put money on the cards. So I take it you have the option to say NO correct? Now will the card accept the 2 Paypal deposits with no money on the card? Then again you would add your payroll checks thru direct deposit without adding any reloadable money to the card right?
Now if I buy 10 of these $3 cards (according to the pic below) put the bank info on Paypal then confirm the 2 small deposits then I am verified. Then all you need to do is wait until you sell something then get paid transfer money to the card then do the $1.95 PP expanded use credit card thingy and now your verified and confirmed.
Quick, fast and only cost $3 for each account if this works.
Seems like a good fast cheap and easy solution to me or i could spend several hours filing out forms to get 10 checking accounts also one overdraft and I am out $35. Not to mention your money is spread out all over the place. Too much trouble making sure I get all 10 check cards sent to me then which card goes with what account. Allot of bookkeeping will need to be done. https://www.walmartmoneycard.com/Acc...eycard_img.gif
$3 per PP account that is nothing. It will cost you $40 for a CCnow.com account that takes Paypal. Also I don't mind having 10 bank accounts without all the forms to fill out. I already have 6 BOA accounts and 3 of them waiting on a refund. |
| First Edition | 03-26-2010 12:09 PM | I believe you do have to wait for the real card to arrive in the mail before direct deposit is an option. |
Yes it's not as easy as you think. You have to bring the cards to the cashier and load a mininum of $20 each card. This is step 1 of the activation process. Save your receipt because it has your activation number on there. Then you have to give them SSN and other identifying information before you are able to use the card. Then once you complete the process you are then able to use the temp card and you have to wait until you get the physical card in the mail before you use the direct deposit option as temp cards are NONRELOADABLE. |
| First Edition | 03-26-2010 07:46 PM | I'd assume also, if you open ten of these, the banks that issue them could close them down They have a system to track, just like any bank. Please don't think this is any different than walking into a local bank and asking for ten accounts.
To be honest, a good relationship with someone at your bank will prevent any red flags. The final determination in this kind of thing really rests on how suspicious a real person is. I have a few local banks I use, as well as bigger banks like Suntrust and Bank Of America. If I walk into a branch, most of the people there know me, and my account manager has a pretty good idea of what I do. (as far as deposits, cash flow, accounting etc..) No problems. All smiles and sunshine.
IMO, you can work really hard to stay anonymous, when if you're just not suspicious, you can save the effort. |
Yes this is correct ask doughboykilla he had a story of having too many cards and they shut him down. |
| cardfelon | 03-26-2010 09:43 PM | How do you get the money out of the bank account that is attached to the card after it has been reloaded with funds from Paypal? I assume a ATM. What fees are involved with it? |
| lakeman | 03-26-2010 10:26 PM | |
| doughboykilla | 03-27-2010 09:24 AM | Yeah them walmart cards are own an ran by greendot with the walmart logo and if theres any bank thats picky about alot of cards or what not its greendot! in the past greendot didnt like people useing it for paypal they called and told me i couldnt use my card for paypal or any other online source like googlecheckout or they would close my account. But that was before they got into bed with paypal so they work for paypal now as long as u dont have alot of these cards. |
| First Edition | 03-27-2010 09:25 AM | I don't think it's a good option for mass verifying or using to withdraw. |
| RimmingTon | 03-28-2010 04:49 AM | Is anyone selling these ACH bank account debit cards?
I expect people would be prepared to pay quite handsomely for them. |
| reloaded21 | 03-28-2010 10:04 AM | Try Netspend or AccountNow (US only but there is ways around it)
When you sign up you can log in and when you go to transfer money, there's a paypal option.
It gives you account number, routing number, bank name to add to paypal as a bank account.
Works like a charm for me. Was withdrawing $1000+ a week split up between those two cards plus to my regular checking account I have set up at my bank and had no problems with paypal, not a peep from them. I even refunded a couple $500+ transactions and my paypal is still good.
Now I wasn't linked to Ebay (but actually Ecrater, found a goldmine there) and had no problems. Now last week I set up an Ebay account for the first time and I got the bomb dropped already. I guess I should have read listing guidelines first and found this forum lol
Just hope that my paypal won't get the bomb dropped also due to it's linked to my ebay :> |
| First Edition | 03-28-2010 10:58 AM | Netspend doesnt' work anymore unless the real card is received in the mail. Really, its the same as the wal mart option. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 12:49 PM. | |
