Figured that just double checking. Been shipping like this for a month, and started thinking maybe tracking number could let eBay see this

rsot 03-28-2012 11:08 AM

Tracking number usually only shows where the package is going - I have yet to see tracking number showing address of original sender...unless USPS is diff now.

great **** guys, i think i am just going to print all shipping labels using stealth paypal account, then print out return shipping addresses on little pieces of paper and put them inside the package. is this a good idea?

This is how I ship packages as well. It has not failed me yet after HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of packages.

I've even had a couple be undeliverable for whatever reason and the package is ALWAYS comes back to my real address on the label I attach.

You can change the return address without problems.

Mr. Invisible 05-04-2012 07:57 AM

If shipped outside eb/pp you could use your real return address, if you're not worried about the random crazy buyer reporting you. On eb/pp doing this with all your stealth accounts with the same return address is not a good idea so...

Are you guys that are paying for shipping via paypal using flat rates or just changing the shipped from zip on paypal but replace the return address after being paid.

example...

1. shipping paid is calculated based on stealth shipped from address
2. I'm shipping to Georgia & I pay through Paypal using the stealth address in Florida (close to Georgia)
3. I drop off the package in Seattle (very far from Georgia)

Wouldn't the shipping cost be drastically under priced?

If I cover up the stealth return address with the legit address in Seattle, does usps not pay attention to the lower pre paid postage?

I've only ever done what you are decribing with flat rate shipping.

With calculated shipping I would change the ship from zip or use a stealth address in your zip code.

I figured as much, thanks biggunn

I've heard of eBay buying cheap items from sellers yo see if they cover up there return address. And if you do they will suspend you. Could that be right?

rsot 05-16-2012 11:00 AM

I doubt that eb would do that - 1. waste of their time 2. waste of their money 3. they have much BIGGER issues to deal with.

Complete BS. There's no way they do that.

Sandy D 05-16-2012 03:53 PM

Ebay has several buyers account they use but they dont buy cheap junk.

I have sold them several items but never an issue if you do your work correctly.

Hmm... Interesting. So how did you know it was ebay's account?

Been doing that for several years now. I do mostly flat rate Envelopes so location doesn't matter if you change anything. Could always be a drop ship. I think this is a conspiracy theory. Maybe for sellers with horrible ratings but if you have decent feedback and making them money you should be good.

It says "an ebay partner".

I know of 4 names they use and they buy good stuff too.

MM78 05-17-2012 11:24 PM

I have stealth accounts in different states, I just use my P.O. Box address as a return address. I've never had a problem, No one has ever complained. The key for me is, when posting item to ebay in the location I just put "Multiple Locations, USA".

Never seen this one before.

I have seen "down by the river" on a listing.

MM78 05-18-2012 11:44 AM

Oh Yeah, I've been using that one for loooong time. I have 4 stealth in the same state so I just put "So. California USA" or "California". Why get into details about exact location.

newjerseymax 05-18-2012 12:00 PM

I have put location as "out of my mind"... Never had anyone comment... :focus:
