Default Problem adding bank account

I'm currently trying to add a bank account to my PP. The PP account is about 3 weeks old. I tried to add it twice today, but I get a message saying they need to call me for verification.

Should I wait a couple days and try again, or would it best to get a virtual phone number and add it?

Don't mean to pry too hard into your affairs but what bank are you trying to add? Bank name I mean - can make a difference.

I'm just using a greendot account. I assume it's metabank or something like that. I usually use BOA, but I need to get this stealth business under control before I burn my bridges with them. It's getting annoying.

Thanks for the reply.

Ha ha So sorry don't mean to laugh but "It's getting annoying" I hate to tell you but it's all annoying compared to real time. Just the cost of doing business. It's still the best game in town. Not to mention the only for some.

I am not saying you don't already do this but I find it's much easier to do with a positive attitude and a smile.

Greendot is the plague and is best avoided as such.

Agree with cjmixers, best to add another bank. There are plenty of options other than BOA available.

Thanks guys. Sometimes I wish I could just go back in time to when I had a 5 year old PP account and I was raking in the dough on ebay. Just a few little changes to the way I did things, and the last two years of chasing my tail never would've happened. Oh well, back to the drawing board....

Last time I looked the bank account attached had a red flag by it saying unconfirmed. So I'm guessing its still unverified, as I haven't confirmed it.

Are you trying to add an account for withdrawal or just trying to confirm the acct?

Sigh...kind of a mixed message - unconfirmed would mean no CC on file, unverified means bank has not been accepted.

When you log in, next to your balance (in tiny letters to the right or something like that), you will see Status: Verified or Status: Unverified.

I haven't received the 4 digit code sent by pp to my bank account to verify the account. Apologies if I weren't clear.

I tried adding same account today & got a message saying account already added.

It's never taken this long before...does anybody have experience with YBS Internet saver issue 3 annual account?? And is there a time frame where pp will ask to send the code again??

So it was added...that means 4 digit code will come - can take anywhere from 1-7 days

Have you read anywhere on here that someone has successfully used this tyoe of account with UK Paypal?

Some of these types of savers cannot accept external transfers and can only accept money from a linked main account with the same bank / building society.

My primary bank account for the last 5 years is with them, but I fried that for paypal use a long time ago. When I opened a secondary account, they charged me $20 a month. Perhaps I chose the wrong type of account, but that pissed me off so bad that I took my business over to BoA. I might take another look though. Thanks rsot.

@AuctionsDenied:
I am looking to both verify the account and be able to withdraw. I've been seeing talk about VBA's around here, but never looked into it. It seems to me that you might as well add a real bank and get it out of the way. Then again, using VBA's to get a PP established is a good way to lower your bank account casualty now that I think about it. Hmm...

I have heard that YBS works but not sure which account. They are all savers from this branch
