Problem adding bank a/c

Tried adding my hbos current a/c but got message saying already linked to another paypal a/c so unable to add. Emailed paypal who advised this wasn't the case & that they are aware of the problem but have no timescale as to when it can be fixed - typically unhelpful.

Managed to add the only other a/c I have - Tesco internet saver a/c & managed to withdraw some money a few wks ago however today got an email from paypal advising they had tried to withdraw money from it & it was declined by the bank due to invalid bank a/c number.

This is absolute b@LLs - I did not authorise them to withdraw from my a/c (would it be the inital paypal deposits of less than £1 that they put in when a/c is added?). The bank a/c is indeed valid. They have asked me to fax bank a/c showing paypal credits & also photo id so they can add a/c on again.

(Tesco advised me initially that they could accept paypal credits but not withdrawals so wondering if this is why its been declined).

Very frustrating indeed - I am unable to access my money. Is there any other clever ways of withdrawing your money from paypal other than adding bank details?

I think you need a bank to withdraw in uk.

If you can open a new bank account online that would be easiest and then add it to pp - natwest is 1 of many you can open online.

If not, maybe u can open another tesco internet saver account easily online. Add it to pp but do not confirm it - make a withdral and it should go through..... I have read this on here bfeore and am in the process of finding out for myself as I have done a transfer the other day.
