| Exeneva | 10-08-2008 06:19 PM | Can Paypal reverse a payment initiated via Plugin? Hello,
Consider this situation: I have money in my Paypal account, and it has Paypal plugin enabled. I use the plugin to generate virtual credit cards and send my funds elsewhere/buy something. Can Paypal reverse the transfer? |
| GreenBean | 10-08-2008 06:23 PM | Exeneva , paypal are far more devious than you, my friend. LOL;) |
| Exeneva | 10-08-2008 06:24 PM | Please explain? |
| GreenBean | 10-08-2008 06:27 PM | Sure, you have started 45 threads about paypal with efforts to beat their system. I applaud your efforts. You know I have answered you before: if paypal want to reverse a payment they will. It is paypal, no more, no less. Legal, illegal, moral, immoral, paypal will outdo any of us if they want. end of |
| Exeneva | 10-08-2008 06:31 PM | And what will they do when I close the account after the VCC transfer, especially if it was to a bank account I have already closed and retrieved the funds from? |
| GreenBean | 10-08-2008 07:38 PM | There will be a negative balance in paypal: they will likely chase you to restore the balance. This is what they did with one of my paypal accounts.:( Did not
get limited but got message after message. I must confess I paid them. In my
case it was less than $40.00 |
| Exeneva | 10-08-2008 07:48 PM | Aho, but what if all of my information is ⊗⊗⊗⊗ and I am unreachable? |
I don't think PP can reverse VCC payments. A VCC payment is the same as a credit card payment. It is like you took your Chase visa credit card to a restaurant, charged dinner and then and then Chase wants to reverse the payment without your authorization. This would be a violation of the rules set by MasterCard and Visa. |
| Exeneva | 10-09-2008 05:05 PM | This is where I agree with Zymo. VCC funds are immediately out of reach, and I don't think Paypal has any power to do anything about it. |
| doughboykilla | 10-09-2008 06:04 PM | how do u generate virtual credit cards with pp? |
| Exeneva | 10-09-2008 06:07 PM | You have to enable the Paypal plugin.
This means you have to have a verified bank and credit card. |
| doughboykilla | 10-09-2008 09:58 PM | o i have verfied bank and CC i never knew u could genrate VCC with them i read about it in the past but never new it was working
i will have to try that later :) to buy stuff also what address gose on the VCC same as the one on Pp? or can u put any ship to address u want? |
| Exeneva | 10-09-2008 10:30 PM | It's an anonymous vcc. |

sure that paypal will let the matter go.So as I said the actual paypal account
will get a negative balance. What will you do then? Walk away? |

Yeah your right thats like going to bestbuy.com order a $50 pc game or something with rush shipment pay useing a paypal VCC with paypal funds and then paypal decieds to limt u a day or 2 down the line they cant just simpley steal the money back from Bestbuy that would be illegal and not a wise move on Pp's part |
| Exeneva | 10-09-2008 11:24 PM | Precisely my point. And GreenBean, it was my rightful money. The idea of this thread is not to steal money, it is to safely get your money out so you don't get frauded. And if you do, then yes, you walk away.
But I have another question: Can Paypal reverse your payment if you used a VCC to buy something from someone who uses Paypal? Basically Paypal VCC to another Paypal account. |
| GreenBean | 10-09-2008 11:50 PM | I agree it is your money. Just checking for myself that the account was of no more benefit. Simply that. I was thinking of the hassles to make new paypal accounts. |
| Exeneva | 10-10-2008 07:16 AM | True, but that "Paypal logo" is like a protection guarantee for a lot of people, and it's hard to beat.
And my other question still looms. |
| sycore | 10-10-2008 08:53 AM | Interesting question. I have had paypal reverse bank transfers, payments sent and payments received. My guess would be that it would be similar to when someone uses a stolen credit card to buy an item from say best buy. Once best buy ships the item, and the card is found to be stolen, how is it handled? My guess would be that paypal can not reverse the actual payment, but will try to deduct that amount from your account. If you used all ⊗⊗⊗⊗ information, there is no way they can get anything from you. |
| Exeneva | 10-10-2008 10:28 PM | That's exactly what I'm thinking. But is a payment via VCC to a Paypal account treated the same way? |
| Imfukd | 10-11-2008 12:17 AM | Good question. Most likely they will not reverse it. If they feel it's of a suspicious nature they'll just limit your account instead. Here's what I would like to know. If you already have an account online at buy.com, amazon, etc. with your real info and you attempt to purchase something at those sites with your VCC with all your ⊗⊗⊗⊗ PP info does the charge still go thru without any problems? | | All times are GMT -5.
