Breakthecycle2 | 11-17-2014 01:33 PM | For those getting the 21 day hold on new accounts I'd like to know what banks you are using. |
slokor | 11-17-2014 03:23 PM | Re: For those getting the 21 day hold on new accounts The 21 day hold has nothing to do with the bank being used.
Its standard operating procedure for all new paypal accounts.
The only way around it is a solid history on the account. |

The only way around it is a solid history on the account. | Wrong again. It absolutely does. How do I know? I made two stealth accounts, both business. One I used Capitalone, the other TD. The Capitalone required a 21 day hold on a $25 payment. The TD one, I received $625 in three separate transactions and there is no hold. Both were made yesterday. |
Breakthecycle2 | 11-17-2014 03:31 PM | Re: For those getting the 21 day hold on new accounts Just to further clarify, the last 6 stealth accounts I've made, all with Capitalone, all had the hold. |
yankee | 11-17-2014 03:34 PM | Re: For those getting the 21 day hold on new accounts It has nothing at all to do with the bank....
It is EBAY policy, not even on the paypal side. |
yankee | 11-17-2014 03:36 PM | Re: For those getting the 21 day hold on new accounts This is what you will get when you click "help" and ask, Why is paypal holding my money
Here's what we found for "Why is my PayPal payment being held?"[ Previous ]
Hello, XXXXXX
It looks like you need to keep selling for a little while longer. Even though you registered with us on April 27, 2014, you just started selling with this account since September 01, 2014 . New sellers need to successfully sell items on eBay for 90 days.
Once you have fulfilled all the requirements in the table below, the money will be deposited to your PayPal account and money from future sales will no longer be held.
Where you are in the process
Criteria Your transactions Where you need to be
Number of days successfully selling 77 days 90 days
Total domestic sales $4,070.56 $250
Total items sold domestically 30 items 25 items
Tips on how to make transactions easier:
• Mark the item as shipped and add tracking information in My eBay.
• Use the eBay shipping label for discounts and to automatically upload shipping status and tracking info |

Odds are open 1000 more accounts with any bank you choose and you will get nine hundred and ninety something more accounts with 21 day holds. |

Open a couple of more accounts and youll see for yourself.
Also, the 21 day hold can come back at any time and for any reason they deem appropriate so be aware of that as well. |

Answer some questions, please, about the paypals:
How old were the paypals before the 1st transaction?
Were they verified and confirmed?
What was the amount of the transactions?
What method do you use to access the internet?
Were the transactions invoices, services, purchases?

As Yankee said - create a few more accounts and youll see the results yourself first hand. You cannot make a statement like the one you made based off one single account. We ALL had accounts like that - its a glitch. Nothing more. |
Re: For those getting the 21 day hold on new accounts This myth of bank involvement is nonsense |

slokor | 11-17-2014 04:46 PM | Re: For those getting the 21 day hold on new accounts Already did as stated above. We all did.
Create enough accounts and youll come across a few that have that glitch.
Its the same as people creating ebay accounts now and a few come up with 5000/50,000 limits. Doesnt mean they did something special. Its just a glitch in the system. |

:smash: | Maybe if you read my original post, some of the questions were already answered. I came here trying to help people and give suggestions, instead people bash me. That's fine, don't take into account what I've said. I just two more tests and guess what? None of them have holds. |

None of them have holds. | Your right about not getting holds, I have yet to have a paypal account receive a 21 day hold from an off ebay transaction, and I have used all different Banks, VBAs, prepaid cards, even unverified accounts
The one thing I think it could be do to is, I always use the accounts with eBay and have no more than 1 or 2 off ebay transactions a month, also my first transaction is always from eBay
I never just opened a paypal account and had its first transaction from outside eBay so that could be why I never had a hold yet, and I know others that also still have yet to receive holds when receiving a payment from an off eBay |
solefoodbk | 11-17-2014 10:21 PM | Re: For those getting the 21 day hold on new accounts Well this is kinda funny. I just started banking with TD Bank. My eBay account has roughly 30 transactions, 2 months aged, and roughly 200 in sales. I still have holds.
If you knew stealth you would know things happen such as glitches. Can you explain for us all why some BRAND NEW accounts get crazy limits like 500/50000 with selling 1 item? No, you can't.
Paypal and eBay are extremely glitchy and although we all usually finds limits can get increased rather quickly, 21 holds USUALLY don't get lifted unless its been 90 days, 250 in sales, 25 transactions. This is what happens 99% of the time, not 100%. Your statements are false and don't belong on the forum. :nono:
Its one thing to say you got a account without a limit its another to say its a solution to the problem. |
zexaah | 11-17-2014 11:01 PM | Re: For those getting the 21 day hold on new accounts It has to do with ebay, not paypal. Ebay issues the 21 day holds, and ebay releases their hold once you have a good account with good history. | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 04:31 AM. | |
