So Im looking around in Windows 10..which is pretty darn good BTW,and they have a dual desktop feature. I'm wondering if this would be OK for stealth? Is anyone else running 10?

Stick to using separate windows user accounts.
The various desktop are still under the same user account and the cookies and flash objects are therefore shared.

Just got my 8 gb flash drive and 77% done downloading. Going test it on cheapest computer use only once a week than upgrade my other 6-7 computers slowly over next few months.

I wouldnt upgrade just yet. New Windows releases are notorious for having bugs and security holes.
Let others test it out for the next year then after the first service pack is out with all the fixes do the upgrading. No point in being the guinea pig.

I see the following way: Win 10 machine for movies and games, and RDC to Win XP VPS servers for stealth.

I have Win 10 on one of my laptops as well
Much prefer it to Win 8. Seems a lot more intuitive which was always lacking in Win 8 (IMO)
New browser is also much better than the old IE
Chrome seems to keep crashing though (wonder if that is MS being a bit underhanded there?)

Yes windows 10 is nice for basic browsing for personal reasons. That's it. Not stealth or any social media business stuff. Seems like they collect all your info and then what?

Agree with unknow. There are bunch of services have to manually turn off. Finally, I'm back to Win 7 now hahahahaaa.
Win 10 is OK but somehow I don't like it automatic thing. I would like to control my PC to run what program I want

what's worse is now i'm seeing these reports about these forced updates overriding permissions and settings that have previously been changed. while updates on previous OS's were known to look for pir.ated MSoft applications, this has now gone way beyond that. then i see MSoft responding to these complaints with very vague answers or responses like "no comment" or "we dont comment on speculation".
they've taken a page straight out of google's handbook and it's fukn depressing because this isn't just some browser you can remove. i feel like it's a W7/Linux only future for me.

If you just want to remove the tray icon until the next restart you can terminate the GWX.exe process using Task Manager.
To get rid of the icon permanently, uninstall KB3035583 which is responsible for these notifications: Control panel, windows update, installed updates, sort by name, "Update for Microsoft Windows KB3035583" (not a Security Update), uninstall, reboot.
When you're offered the same again via Windows Update remember to hide it.
After uninstalling, if remnants of the update's files are still in Windows\System32\GWX, just delete that directory, although first you may need to take ownership of it. |

You bunch of chickens
Live life on the edge, its fun
You think your windows xp, vista, 7, 8 & 8.1 don't leak info and does not have weak spots!!!!
Don't believe the hype Software available to block privacy leaks etc. for all windows operating systems. Google it, but also, don't believe the hype, use your own brain |
