They can if he opened the account with fraudulent info, which I believe he is hinting that he did. There was another guy on here recently saying a bank refused to give him his money because they suspected fraud.

Just for the record OP, I had my BoA account closed in January and to this day it still accepts deposits and I get monthly statements. I can't say for sure if this applies to all banks, but with BoA, "closed" accounts are revived when money is electronically deposited.

Regarding the held money, I would do whatever it is Cap360 is telling you to do. You don't really have any other options. :/

Have you tried calling Paypal to see if they can reverse somehow? They will probably want to do extensive ID verification to make sure you aren't trying to steal money from someone's bank account. It's worth a shot. You can always hang up and give up if you feel like things are going sour.

Well, if it was opened with "⊗⊗⊗⊗" info they wont do anything. The money thats in the account should be returned to paypal at some point or they will send a check to the name and address on the account.

Always give the banks your real info, pp cant see that

How could cap 360 be blacklisted when it is one of the options that PayPal lists as banks to add when you try to click on add bank account? That would be silly I would think.

Im not going to get into if they work or not, but they used to work and then for a long time they would not. Even if you call them to manually add it, they will not let you. They will tell you that Cap One will not allow paypal to put a tracer on the money. People have done withdraws from paypal and the money just disappeared. It was neither returned or deposited into their account.

Are you serious? So the money just vanishes? Paypal said they deposited and never deposited it?

Yes. Ive had it happen with a different bank.
