I have seen quite a few of these posts on here. One from a guy from jacksonville as well as I am. I was just hoping to get some extra insight on my current situation. I am pretty sure my package has been seized. I will say that the package was a Vero watch. I ordered it a day before chinese new year and now it looks like it has been caught up. I called DHL and all they said was it said to contact my local customs office. And gave me the number. Obviously I do not want to contact them. What are the chances of the package getting released on its own? I have contacted the seller and have no idea what they want to do yet. The order was though DH gate so my money is "safe". Any insight would be helpful. Thank you.

Don't be so comfortable with Dhgate. Their "buyer protection" tends to majorly favor the seller.

From what you've described it sounds like you've had a counterfeit watch seized by customs, though it's possible the shipment has simply been delayed by Spring Festival. It's difficult to say exactly what's going on without seeing your tracking results.

Why are you afraid to call customs, if that's what DHL is recommending? If they've already seized your package then it's not like you're going to do more harm by calling customs. If I were you I would call, then play dumb and act like you've been ripped off by the seller if customs tells you the shipment has been seized. Then I would tell them to destroy the shipment as you aren't interested in any counterfeit merchandise.
