CMP Form with postmaster collect?

I got a package from china today with green tape on it,
It said it had be examined by customs in San Fransisco,
I was wondering what this CMP Form 3419alt was with $282.85 on it,
It says Postmaster submit this form at the end of each month,
Post office just dropped it off at my house and said nothing,
It has a place for a signature and postmaster revived payment,
I am not paying for this and all the items did not even cost that much,
Anyone else have this issue before,
If so did you pay or did the post office mail you a bill,
Just been using my home address to get ems packages for a while,

using your nest to s**t in is poor business.
The 'addressee' owes that amount $282.85 as customs duty AND more importantly US Postal agencies are authorized to collect such monies.
The 'addressee' has dealt with some supplier and the incorrect duties have been made on the items. Customs have examined the items and here's the result. A claim for duties
Read thro' this URL. Think carefully now A monster has been created just because a residence has been used.

Well explained GB except that I would not assume that the goods ordered from China are for business unless the poster has said that in past...

I just checked with the ups store,
They told me they can do pick up with no box rental for $5 a package,
Anyone else every try this,
Maybe i can do this for the time being,

There was no assumption. China was not mentioned by either the OP or myself. Read the post in full, the OP has some experience in bring goods into the country. He choose a home address for delivery. He now has a request for custom duties and has stated he does not want to pay. Ergo, bad business move/practice to use a home address...yes? Should anything happen in the future the home address is known now
