That looks like the cheapest, first class, which is what I always use with a padded poly mailer, can be about the same for items less than about 5 oz. I believe, which is about what alot of single dvd's weigh.
I'm just thinking if I buy cds at 40c a pop and dvds at 50c, what the minimum amount I can sell them at to break even. Trying to figure out how people sell em for .01 and make money. Looks like its just the cost of business to get good feedback

showing that first class is more expensive than media mail. Also what is the smallest size bubble mailer that a dvd case will fit in? 7 1/4" x 10 3/4"?
When I used to sell ebooks I never shipped a cd even though I put ebook cd in the title, most people just buy those for feedback so they don't care if they get the cd or not as long as they get the download link at least.

I buy all my CD/DVD bubble and cardboard mailers from Uline. Great prices and I receive them the next business day.
Not sure though why anyone would use Media Mail as an outlet to ship CD/DVD's. Sure, you save a couple cents which can add up if you sell in large quantities. As for myself, I ship only first class and if over 13 oz, Priority the same day. Every customer given me feedback is astonished how quickly they receive their items domestically or internationally.
Want accumulate feedback quickly? Ship out same day and have it arrive 2-3 business days later. That is why I rarely ever buy off Ebay anymore. Most sellers ship Media which is WAY too long. Of course, I am in the minority at this approach.
yeah I always ship everything priority, but my margins or profit are going to be so low, I need the cheapest possible alternative. I'm talking like 10-50c profit on some items. So an extra 40c in shipping will turn profit into loss.
Is there a service that gives you discounts on shipping? As in compared to what the postage calculator on the usps website tells you. Thanks!
its filler items to make my account look legit. I figure 3000 filler items and 20 real items should do the trick lol. actually its going to increase my income, but it's not my focus
That's what I've always used nothing like being able toss all your orders down the mailshoot late at night and as long as you've got some high profit items to throw in with your feedback items then that should cover the shipping cost but for me my lower priced FB items are also high profit items...
well i'd say 90-95% of my items are high profit. But for some, new cds and dvds are going for anywhere between 1c and $1. So for the 1c ones I just want to break even or take the smallest hit possible.
