I do both but mainly take them to the PO and they have a huge cart to put them in.

I was using a pick up but then the new guy kept missing the scans and causing me problems knowing where packages are.

They need to have a cart for pre paid boxes. Might ask them some day when you dont have a package if they have a large cart.

Most I have been in have carts on wheels and not small drop boxes.

I like driving to drop off packages. It's a great tax write off.

You should of seen me the other day I was almost wrecking my own packages cuz they wouldn't fit in the drop box I had to keep shaking the door back and forth to get the packages to go down to put in the rest, I fill up drop boxes all the time, sometimes go to 2-3 in a day..

Do you have access to some kind of postal pickup like some people on the forum have done?

I have a car but I also have a drop box right down the street so I usually just walk down and drop them in but even when I am driving I still go to the drop box since all you have to do is pull up and roll down your window..

My PO is right next to a Cuban restaurant, I go inside and order a Cuban sandwich. The sandwich is made with ham, roasted pork, Swiss cheese, pickles, mustard, and sometimes salami on Cuban bread. Best in the world.

Drive to the po and take them to the dock in the back. NO line or anything. In an out in 10 seconds.

My Postman rings the door bell, I hand him a scan sheet that with 1 barcode will mark all my shipments as accepted, then help him carry the boxes/packages down to the curb.

That and a $20 Starbucks gift card keeps him from questioning the odd return in 20+ names as well.

For those of you guys who throw them in the drop boxes... I thought that those were only for 46 cent mail, and if you throw First Class Pkg stuff in there it will be sorted incorrectly and not get scans. Am I wrong?

The drop boxes are large and can accommodate a medium size box . I can fit 2 12"X6"X6" boxes in before emptying. Not all Post Office's have them They're mostly located at Post Office's that have the self serve kiosk's and are open 24hrs. They are specifically for packages and not for letter mail.

With prepaid postage , anything that fits into a drop box is fine .
