Just want to get an idea of what people feel.

Basically, my supplier states he can't ship via DHL. So Only real options are EMS, Airmail and SAL.

Now it's looking like what I've ordered, which is mainly for personal use and to give to my friends, comes to around 14-15KG - which contains a mix of vero and non-branded items.

Do I need to split or is this okay to pass through customs via EMS?

I'm in the UK

Thanks guys.

14-15kg is pushing tolerance levels for Customs.

With that weight and importance of items, I would consider splitting.

More you split it the higher the chances it will all get though without issue. I have things stopped that come in at just 5kg pretty often.

Thanks, I guess I'll split then.

Best to keep around 5KG level?

If I combine two parcels - it comes to 7.1KG is this still pushing the boundaries?

Do Not send any Vero through EMS to UK. They check nearly all parcels at East Midlands Airport. If they stop the vero and you have straight stuff too, they might seize the lot!! Of all my parcels I have sent recently only my EMS ones were seized and they were single item parcels!!.

I've had a 2.4kg from EMS Birmingham recently - all went fine, may have been due to your customs information sheet.

If your supplier want use DHL, it must be because he has been blacklisted by them before.
I have been over to China and I dont like EMS. Same price as DHL takes longer to arrive back home, plus is as hot as hell for vero.

Trainers like *ike will be stopped by UK customs at EMS. The chance is they will be examined and identified as Counterfeit and seized. Best thing to do is not send them in the boxes and without tags. After all they are personal and for Friends.

Your Supplier is pulling a fast one, Vero has a different shipping charge from straight stuff in China. You pay extra so it clears Chinese customs. Trust me I have been there and shipped myself from there.

SAL Parcel - apparently 20KG

Similar to Airmail. If so that should be okay for my one thats just below 5KG. Just it will take a while which I'm not too fused about.

TBH it would take as long to ship via EMS, if your parcel was held up here. I am thinking of looking at this way next time I go to China. Please message on here if you go the SAL Route and let us know how reliable it is.

DHL are very vanilla when it comes to VERO. I have never got a package seized yet and my orders on average from Hong Kong are 21kg, which would be impossible to ship through EMS. i would advise find a different supplier who can ship by DHL
