Default Return Rate? Can you get closed down or limited due to return rate?

I read the threads from 2016 about this but saying 5 to 8% is okay?

This is for a Canadian account. Does anyone know what return rate is safe? So far I am at

1.30%
5 of 384 transactions

They all closed out in my favor, as some (most) buyers don't really read listings no more at all.

Absolutely not.

People who sell clothing (esp. used clothing) have like 30-40% return rate due to sizing/colors/etc.

You absolutely can . After my main legit account was closed I partnered with a friend and used ssn and I'd and everything to sell again . Sold 20k first two months. Then bought a bad batch of iPhone 5c and had 75 of 100 roughly come back. Limited. Talked to rep after rep and they all said return rate was what killed me . They didnt think I helped with the buying experience having so many complaints . Fast forward year later to a new stealth and had a flurry of returns in a week from not testing. 5 laptops returned in a week, straight to ssn limitations. PayPal doesnt like limitation. All accounts were aged beyond 1yr. Didnt matter

^

There's a difference between a return request (doesn't fit/changed my mind) and a CASE (item not as described/SNAD). The former has nothing to do with you getting limited while the latter one does.

Yeah sure, but more and more buyers are using INAD to get free returns.

This is what screwed my last legit account. Way too many INAD even though it was really buyer error.

How exactly does a return "close out in your favor"?

On the one hand 1.3% doesn't sound too bad, but I'm guessing you're treading close to a line where your standing in search may start to be impacted.
