Rude buyer/Ebay live chat

Opened an unpaid item case for an item I sold, then received a message "are you idiot?" so I explained why I opened it and he replied "you dont know how to use ebay!!"

I do not want to proceed with this transaction as I don't want to deal with this clown, is there any way to cancel the sale without it affecting my account or feedback?

Also, why is it nearly impossible to find Ebay live chat? if anyone can help me find it i'd be grateful.

I had one of these in the past and told the buyer that the ebay automated system opened it as it had not been paid in the specified time. Asked them if they still wanted to buy and if so, please pay so they don't get a strike against them. I left it at that and closed the case when the system allowed me to to get my FVF credit.

If they do pay, ship as quick as possible with tracking number added and keep all the messages in case of a problem. You can take photos but they most likely will not count for much in a dispute.

Oh, and add them to your block list!

@OP, don't forget to close the case in your favour after the time frame - if the buyer doesn't pay up

Hit and miss with it showing these days

Its there sometimes and sometimes its not. Just have to keep logging in to look.

Live chat shows up on some, not all, of my accounts when going through the options in the 'help & contact' section.

Best to now wait and see if the buyer pays or not. Hopefully not and then you have no future problems from them.
