Anyone know how I can meet spending minimums for credit promos?

Anyone know of a good way to meet credit minimums for credit cards.


I have no bills that would even cover it. I have to spend about 20k in 3 months and have no idea how to do that. Any ideas?

Postage always does it for me.

I just signed up for WF's new 2% cash back on everything card. They offer a bonus of $200 if you spend $1k or more in the first three months. Within a few days of linking the new CC to my postage account I'd already passed $1k thus qualifying for the bonus.

I guess invoicing yourself and then using your CC to pay would also work but you'd be losing ~3% in transaction fees.

look up flyertalk or other forums for CC promos

buying/returning jewelry at costco in the 3-5K range, which they give you a check for, which you can deposit into your account

You could add your card on paypal and send friends/family money but the fee would be 3-5%

Have some dealers to spending these money at rates. For example, dealers pay 20k in 3 months but only repay 17-18k to you. You will lost 2-3k but meet credit minimums. it's up to the deal.

You can use credit/debit card to top up some investment accounts.
