buyer dispute gone on to a claim?
hello, i sold an item on ebay about a month ago and the buyer said they were F*ke and wanted a refund.. so i gave him my address to send back the items but he only sent back the item without any of the box and tags etc, (and he has admitted it on he message board), meaning i can not send them back to the supplier for a refund.. i told him i need everything that was in the package so i can get a refund from the supplier, but he has made the dispute into a claim as he has threw the box and tags etc away.. do i have to give him a refund even though he has only sent back half of the things i sent him?
also paypal has emailed me saying they are not going to do anything about it at this time, but they may and have the right to do so within 180 days.. this is exactly what they put -
As you may already be aware, PayPal's Buyer Complaint Policy applies only
to the delivery of goods and not to complaints about the attributes or
quality of goods received through an eBay transaction. Therefore, we will
not conduct an investigation into this matter at this time.
We do, however, reserve the right to begin an investigation within 180 days
if we determine it is necessary.
hope you can help me on where i stand here, an what is going on, thank you
