Default Etsy Negative/Low Reviews - How does it work?

So clearly negative reviews will lead to a ban or something, but how many?

Is it per order? Like you have 500 orders, and you have 2 negative reviews? Is that okay?

Or is it compared to your positive reviews? Like you have 500 orders, but only 100 reviews, and 3 of them are negative reviews.

By negative I mean 1-2 stars, and positive 4/5 stars.

Is it based on a ratio/percentage?

I know on one of my accounts I received a one star and a return request, I was immediately set into a payment reserve. Unsure about bans. The reserve was lifted a month or so later? I think it is an automatic feature that turns on

But like how many items did you sell? Quantity? and how many reviews did you have prior to the 1 star in the review period (i think its every 3 months)? And do you allow returns/exchanges?

Like I have no refunds/no exchanges on my policy.

Like in the last review period I had 120 reviews, 105 were 5 stars, 7 were 4 stars, 2 were 3 stars, and 3 were 1 stars. And I never got a payment reserve.

Nobody ever opened a case on my accont, but I also have a no refunds/no exchange policy, and I think etsy is not like ebay were even if you have a no refunds/no exchange policy they can still request one. But I'm not sure.

Etsy treats its sellers better than Ebay,unless your buyer requests Etsy to get involved,it is up to you.

No negative feedbacks have nothing to do with suspension. Buyers opening cases leads to reserve which can lead to suspension. The MAIN thing that 100% leads to suspension is non handmade / prohibited item emails, where if you get more than a few you're done for.

I remember a friend bought something on etsy with "no refunds/no exchanges", and they couldn't figure out how to open a case. So they just ended up leaving 1 star feedback and keeping the item/paying for it.

Yes,you can get Etsy involved OR just file a chargeback with your cc issuer if you use a credit card.
With cc,if the seller refuses to allow return,you get to keep the item and get your money back
