Firstly, it is not against their policy to have two accounts, secondly if an active account is linked to a suspended account then it is an instant suspension with zero chance of re-instatement until the first one is addressed. No polite messages for sure.
In the world of Amazon, they always assume they're right, if they suspect a link exists it does.
Like quantum, I'm having a hard time believing you had your account re-instated simply by saying 'I don't know what you're on about'. Doesn't happen.
