Default Hurray!! - I'm now an eBay member - Please Read & Comment.

Hi,

I've just signed up to Paypal and eBay.
Signing up with Paypal was not as smooth as I wanted it to be, first they said they could not confirm my details with what they had, but that was done fine when I added my entropay card.

When Paypal tried to call me, Soho66 first put it though to my landline, it showed up on my landline as International, so I answered it, but it went dead, so I had to go on Soho66 and change it so it would go though to my mobile instead, that worked perfectly with Paypal and my details have now been confirmed.

I've added my new bank account, just waiting for the small amounts to go in.

When joining eBay, that went fine expect for the phone again, it kept saying I was entering the wrong code, it called me a few times, but in the end I got it sorted.

I also used O2 Mobile boardband dongle to join and only used 15mb. I will be taking pictures with my new camera, never used before on eBay.

Does anyone have any comments?

Welcome back to the game.

My only comment is that have you already started selling quickly? Hopefulyl you are keeping it slow and building feedback.

I would also like to know about this O2 Mobile broadband dongle - sounds intense.

Thank you
I've not listed any items yet, I'm going to be taking some pictures tonight, nothing of high value just a few books. (Sorry if my post made you think that).

O2 Mobile Broadband works in the UK and Europe at extra costs, I got it from Argos, £20, what else would you like to know?

Sounds exactly the same as my story, recently registered a new 'stealth' account. Entropay, Soho 66 routed to my Mobile, bought a £20 Huwaei E1550 dongle from Argos, unlocked it for 99p on Ebay. Took my dongle overseas used a local data sim, new IP address everytime and I always log into Ebay through Auctiva.

Don't bother using international roaming with O2, cost you a fortune, just get a local data sim of you are overseas

Yeah, it even says in the guide book from O2 that using it internationally will get expensive.

You can log into Ebay through auctiva, and it doesn't show your location.

Yep, I got one the other day, went to the shop they convert the normal sim card to a data sim then put some credit on it. Paid equivalent of £5 for 250mb or for 2gb it was about £10

auctiva is great but sometimes you need to log in to withdraw or dispute etc Its not a complete solution for IP IMO

are you talking about your UK sim card or the local (eg. Spain) sim?
