Default need some advice regarding a ebay seller please.

hi guys need a bit of advice about some ebay idiot.

i bought a item off ebay recently, seller had paypal on listing, i purchased item and then seller tells me no paypal cheques or collection only.

i said politly i would like to pay by paypal please.

he then shouts abuse in his email saying quote " Read the listing idiot No paypal", i then polity ask him to cancel and relist concidering i could not pay by paypal even through his listing stated paypal was a option.

he then sent me another email shouting more abuse saying quote" are you a idiot read the description, no paypal, and stop asking to cancel and stop opoligizing saying you did not know you could not pay by paypal " its tough you bought it so send me either a cheque or im reporting you!!!!

the guy is a complete a**hole

i phoned ebay and they agreed with me saying this seller was in wrong by saying hes not accepting paypal the ebay guy left me on hold while he rang this seller and the ebay guy told me he was not a very pleasent guy as he was shouting at the ebay guy saying hes sick of timewaisters?

anyway ebay have just told me to ignore him, which i did, and ebay said they will put a note on his account. but he keeps sending me abusive emails. he even said it was me who phoned him not ebay???? and hes planning to get me thrown off ebay & said he has my address so he will see me soon.

i phoned ebay again stating hes still emailing me making stories up and shouting abuse again, and ebay said theres nothink they can do and phone the police which i have not.

a day had passed and i thought i got rid of this a**hole but guess what............

hes bid and won a item i had listed on ebay. even through its not the same ebay username i know its him has i checked and the both of each postcodes match. and i googled the postcodes on google map and postcode leads to same house.

i dont know what to do here just wanted some advice please what i should do about this guy, as i dont want to give him my details again or sell to him, as i know its same guy as before, its same guy useing a diffrent ebay username,.

the first account he uses is a girls name and 2nd account a mans. but both are same postcode and lead to same house on map. and guess what i said earlyer hes abusive, well i checked the other account he uses he has a negative feedback by someone saying he abusive.

i know its the same guy, need some serious help regarding this guy please what should i do?

I would definitely involve the Police. Normally, they will not want to get involved in eBay buyer/seller disputes, but when he states "I have your address and I will see you soon" he crosses a line. Unless the law in the UK is VERY DIFFERENT than US law, you can't go around threatening people with physical harm. My guess is that if you file a complaint, and he is contacted by the Police, he will never bother you again. Unless he is REALLY, REALLY STUPID!

Open a police report, thats the best option you have available. As Jeffweico said, it's illegal to go around threatening people. I would suggest you ignore this foo as he's just basically talking crap. The other option would be to call your ISP and they usually have an abuse department to handle situations like these...

zippy, look at this site. You should be able to take some action.
Make sure you report the abuse to your ISP as well like Burning suggested.

What are you reporting? - Report abuse - CEOP

fyi , the police in the UK will do nothing unless it's an imminent threat. zippy has not stated that. Under British law, it's not grounds for their taking action.

Ooops.

Stealth account, almost forgot. Well, I would just forget the threat and ignore the person.

What's good about a thread like this is the chance to talk about interactions with buyers/sellers. It gives people a chance to find out what to do. Everything is not as it seems, so all sides need to be considered.
A good learning curb

thanks guys i can take the threats like a man. sticks & stones so he can say what he likes he dont frighten me.

whats got me more woried is, i have 100+ 100% ebay feedback so i think hes planning going for inpaid item strikes here. and going to leave me bad feedback etc

as i cant see why he would buy my item other than trying to get my address details and number etc.

hes even asked nicely can i have your contact address and phone number so i can pick the item??? the guy thinks i dont know who it is but i do! as the postcodes match of his prevoius ebay name.

somethinks fishy.

not sure what to do regarding the sale, im not sure if ebay will cancel sale but i will have to ring them to find out.

Block his bidder id and other id STAT. You can defnitely cancel the transaction - any negative feedback he leaves will be negated. As for unpaid strike, well I have one on a powerseller account - it won't affect you.

Put his e-mails to block and just stay aware like you seem to be.

ok thanks i have blocked both his bidder id,s.

regarding canceling if i send him a agree to cancel so i can relist item then i think he has to accept which i think he wont, as he will prob say hes reporting & hurling more abuse again.

Hmm i wouldn't send him a notice cancelling the transaction - I would wait to see if he pays, if not - you do a claim of non-payment. If you're going to get a strike and neg feedback, might as well make some money off of it if he pays.

Let this one go - yes it hurts to deal with this kind of a loser but other sales will make up for it. Write a follow-up comment and let other winners build you up.

Hell I had a winning bidder write a beautiful comment about a product of mine once and he hit negative feedback - weird but whatever.

bit of good news that ebay took some action his first username he uses on ebay is no longer registered.

however his 2nd username is still in use? strange really as the guy on ebay said to me he can clearly see hes useing 2 accounts from same postcode.

strange how his first user has been took off but not 2nd he uses?.

ebay will be alot better place without this conman.

My ? is if its a stealth account...isnt the addy wrong anyway...

I couldnt pass up the chance to tell him to come on over lol

but in all seriousness ignore it and move on...he will quit eventually. if neg is left have ebay remove it. i find it best to only involve ebay if i have too. their last on my list everytime.
