Default Has anyone used FedEx Smart Post?

I guess it is where you drop the item off with FedEx ground then they deliver it the closest post office or something like that and USPS does final delivery. I think UPS has something similar.

I am very curious if anyone has used it. I know in the US if you ship something from the West Coast to the east cost it is suppose to take like and entire week which is about the same as FedEx or UPS ground. Got quite a few items I picked up in liquidation in that 3-5lb range that I think might work well with this type of service. I have only got estimates but it looks like it would be like a $4-5 difference between a Priority Flat rate box and Smart Post from one cost to another granted the delayed time.

Anyways if anyone in the states has used it. If they have any reviews or insights would be greatly appreciated.

Want to bump this thread with USPS prices going up.

Have bought a Few items off Amazon that I noticed was delivered either UPS or FedEx Smart Post.

Curious if any on here can give any advice about using such services.

Thanks

Like those sellers have concessions on volumes.

Obviously they get bulk discounts. But since UPS/FedEx Charge Fees for residential delivery. Using a Smart Post when I tried to do the math on the rates eBay for FedEx Smart post seemed like packages over 3-6 lbs was a better deal than Priority or Parcel Post.

Figured someone on here who was a professional eBay seller might know something about this.

Just seems to confirm what I have been thinking for quite a while now. My competition has gone down 10x Fold on eBay the past 5-6 years. Yet my sales get slower and slower on eBay. Not Amazon products so they are not stealing the thunder.

For me it just confirms that average people in the US and more or less the rest of the World are more or less broke.
