Avoid 1st time payment with gift card for shipping label

Does anyone know if you can weezle out of using your gift card the first time you pay for shipping in a new acct?

I don't have the pay later option on the first transaction of a new account. It'll let me have the pay later option on the second label I print.

I have to click the add credit card first for PayPal, then I click the agree and continue button and then they charge me for the shipping.

Just want to see if you can avoid the charge on the first label printed. Thx

Cant really weasel out of that charge :(
