eBay Reimburse Payment?
So recently i sold an item on ebay for around £300, and afte i recived the payment, my paypal (stealth) account got limited. The limitation, however, meant that i could not send out refunds, so there was no way i could refund the buyer.
So i contacted the buyer and i said my paypal account has been limited, so i couldn't really send out the item. Therefore, the buyer opened up a case (thinking that this was the way to et a refund by filing a dispute) and the refund was given by EBAY and not paypal. Therefore i have to "reimburse ebay" for the refund. However, what is strange is that i had the buyers money in my paypal account, however pp didn't use that. instead on my transaction history on pp it shows:
- when i received the money (completed and on 21 day hold)
- The 21 day hold removed from the payment
- "The funds are not available while this transaction is being reviewed by eBay" (with order status being "placed")
- Refund to buyer (order status completed)
So does this mean that i have just lost £300 or something, because ebay had to pay for the refund when i had money in my PP to pay for it, but the money that was available in my PP is under "review" form ebay. Does this mean when the reviewing is done, ebay will take that money from my pp account instead of using a credit card to reimburse?
btw, can ebay on their own take money from a stored credit card on ebay willingly?
