Banks and PayPal question

Hi, I have a fixed online saver 1 yr with Halifax, is it okay to attach it to a PayPal? Because every time I try it PayPal knocks it back. I've tried different links to but just keeps saying 'the Paypal server is currently experiencing some difficulties. Please try again later or contact customer service'

Also I have an old PayPal account but the bank account attached to it is my mums, If i de link my mums account from the PayPal and add one of mine would there be any problems? Thanks any help welcome

They cannot see the name that the bank account is actually linked to

Just to be sure though, this account has not been used on PayPal before right?

A common occurance with PP in the UK It did this to me for around a week everytime i attempted to add one (halifax saver as well) so I called them and the operative said it happens with certain banks/accounts but they can add it manually no fuss

Just have your details to hand if this is a stealth account / name address DOB etc in case they ask

No the account hasn't been used before. Could I use a bank account that I had on an old Paypal? (the Paypal was never suspended) I just had no use for that Paypal account so delinked the bank account from this Paypal. Could that be attached to a new Paypal? Cheers for all the info

No, they will still link you eventually if one of the accounts go down.

If I am right the system will give you an error when adding the bank to say it's already in use on another PayPal.

Even if its removed from that paypal?
