I currently have 9 but they are relatively new and I have to wait to get feedback before the funds are released or 21 days are up, kind of annoying. So I am listing slow about 1 item a week, waiting for funds to go through then list another item, I don't want to sell too much as they are new aco****s and get banned and lose the account, the money and the product.
thanks in advance | This will vary based on what kind of selling limits you have on your accounts and also what items you sell. If you selling $10 items then you need 20-30 accounts to make $6k. If you're selling items for $1k a pop, then of course you need fewer accounts (5-6).
I have about 6 active selling accounts and I've done about $50k in sales between the 6 accounts since this time last year. I was shocked when I saw all my accounts almost around $10k each in a year. Considering I've only been back on eBay for about 1.5 years after a long hiatus.
The key is start slow with a fast selling, cheap item and build your feedback and trust with eBay.
You do not have to sell 1 item a week. If you sell non-risky, generic items you can sell as many as you want. In fact, you should try and max out your limits (esp with 5/500 accounts). The items you sell should be cheap items so who cares if the funds are held for a few days. After you sell so many, you will have funds getting released everyday. Just make sure to ship fast and upload tracking THE SAME DAY!
Do not wait to unload tracking the following day. It is one of the metrics you are graded on for limit increases.
Once your funds get released, buy some cheap items to build up feedback. A lot of power sellers have automatic feedback systems set up that get you quick + feedback as soon as you purchase the item.
