PayPals Limited for over 180 days?
 

Hey guys,

So I have a bunch of PayPal accounts that were limited over 180 days ago with money inside them still. When they were limited they requested information and I never sent them anything.

How do I get them to let me withdraw? Do I need to complete their steps still or is there another way?

You can withdraw the money to the bank account, if you have one attached to the paypal account. If not you can request a check. Once the 180 days are up you do not have to give them any of the requested info to get your money.

Yeah, I get that but... I do not have a withdraw option...

Then you get a check to the address on file ;)

Several Paypal accounts Limited?
 

I have about 6 paypal accounts limited. All have a little $$ in them. A couple have bank accounts on them to have the $$ transferred after 180 days. The others don't and the names and address are bogus. After the 180 days, can I add a bank account onto the account to have it sent there?

Endorse the checks for 3rd party deposit.

Each bank varies. Each person that works for bank is different. Banking laws and regulations changed after Sept. 11 to stop funding for terrorism. To deposit a check into an account, the person (especially the last name) who the check is made payable to on the front of the check must be a signer on an account before the check can go into that account.

Whether or not your bank requires that endorsements be verified will be a matter of bank policy. Many banks have refused to accept third party checks specifically because of the difficulties of verifying endorsements, and the long life (up to 3 years in most states) of any potential liability for a forged endorsement.

However, your bank may allow it. Call, or just go there and ask.

I've only seen problems with CASHING 3rd party. To simply deposit and forget it, never an issue. Maybe start a thread naming the banks who implemented that (??)

that sucks if you have a stealth account that doesn't have a bank account linked to it.

So you can't add banks to limited accounts anymore? No way! The last time I did it was like back in May, but it still worked then. So when 180 days comes around now and the withdraw options comes back to life, your just screwed? What if you never had a bank accounts on the account to begin with?

You can still add a new bank account and withdraw your funds. What I did was contacted the BBB after they wouldn't let me add a new bank account. An "Executive Escalations" member contacted me by email within a week and told me I could withdraw my funds to whatever bank account I wanted. Paypal will try to hold your money if you don't fight for it so keep on fighting...
