I am going to get some prepaid cards from my local bank "BOC" tml, going to test if it's work with any of my us ebay account/PayPal.

Choosing the "add a bank account" option to get verified for a seller account doesnt work. :nono: You are STILL required to add a credit card as "backup funding".

My new debit card was taking too long to come in the mail, so I added my paypal account and got verified that way.

So really there are only two options to get verified for a seller account. Either find a credit card that works or add your paypal. :ballchain:

Simon still works for lifting limits on Paypal but from what I understand will no longer allow you to verify identity to ebay. If you hear of a VCC card that still works for account setup I'd love to know.

hi can anyone tell me of vcc's that work, i just used simon and it did not work i was pissed as i ank 22.00 bucks into it. i got booted off ebay on the 15th, and my inventory is really starting to build up,

If we can verify our ebay account with paypal..why can't we just do that instead of buyin gift cards? I tried using the simon gc today..and just found out you can't. Figured before I verified with paypal I better ask the experts. Why can't..or rather why shouldn't we just use paypal?

I don't recall the exact reasoning behind it, but Here We Go Again made a pretty comprehensive post about this exact subject. It made very good sense at the time, but the specifics elude my memory. At least I gave you a lead to chase down...

of course you can i use it all the time. Use the card with your cheking account and use your checking account tooo. it prevents lots of confuision between accounts too.

As far as why you cannot just verify with paypal, what happens now as I recall is when you choose paypal to verify, it takes you to paypal and at that point paypal is asking you for a credit card number for identity verification. Without inputting one there your seller account will not be set up and you will be stuck. I have not tried Simon cards at that point. Simon still will lift your paypal limits, but I did not try it to see if it will allow you to verify your ID in paypal when creating the seller account. I hope this makes things more clear.

And yes I would appreciate guidance about a gift card that still works if anyone knows of one.

I just got verified last week for a seller account by adding my paypal. First I tried to add my bank account and it said I still needed to add a credit card to go along with the bank account. So I added my paypal instead. Are you saying that as of today you need a credit card to get verified when adding your paypal too? If thats the case, then all three options:

1. credit card
2. paypal
3. bank account

are all null and void because regardless of which one you pick, you still need a credit card.

i just got a bank card from a second account that was opened, i verified my paypal account with no problems. although info is in my own name within paypal i changed the info, although i must admit i'm nervous with ebay and paypal having my actual bank info! i just wanted some sage advice so i sent a member a pm and his advice helped although the simon card is not working to lift the 500.00 a "month" sending limit. now that that's solved, i'm freely to listing but to be cautious only 2 or 3 things per 3 stealth accounts although i'm nervous can't wait til they end!! i have to now figure out what to do with the 20 bucks on the simon card.

Shop online for a couple of pounds of decent coffee? Basically use it to pay for something you were going to buy anyhow.

This was about a week ago when I did it. When I went to list my first item I was told I had to create a seller account and was given the three options. I was taken to paypal where I was required to provide a credit card for identity. As I could not do so I could not continue. You were able to do so after me, so either it is intermittent or was a temporary way they were doing it and have now stopped. My paypal was not confirmed at that point with the two deposits being verified, so perhaps that was a factor.

I also just read that Simon is no longer lifting paypal limits? This was working last week. Can anyone confirm else confirm this?

I didnt think it was safe to use your personal check card to verify your ebay account since it's in your name. That's what I liked about the gifts cards b/c everything was consistent with the ==== name and address. It was a lot easier to keep things straight as well.

Is there any Gift Cards that others are using today to verify ebay accounts. Or has it been confirmed that ALL Gift Cards are no good for ebay?

95% of gift cards do not work, and ebay will find out which ones work and quickly shut them down eventually. Just use a real bank debit card for now.

That's how I do it most of the time. Debit card from bank acct registered to the LLC I use for the appropriate ebay/pp.

Stealthy enough for everyday all-purpose use.

Yep. Such as in-house issued gift cards, reloadable payroll cards, temp issued travel debit cards, and online vcc from the online banking accountholder dashboard.

seems like people are using their debit cards from their own checking accounts, i guess there's only one thing left for me to do...

hi guys i have 4 stealth account with 2 debit card i am using 2 and the other i'm trying age them at least 20 days. does anyone know anyway to get around paypal? i am really sick of the i have propay but not like that some other alternative to collect the cash?

Yea but if something happens you can easily close your bank account and the debit card associated with it will no longer work.

Yea but if they check the address you will be screwed b/c you have to use your real name and address when you open a bank account. That obviously wont match the name and address with the stealth account. I don't see how you won't get flagged for this?? I am missing something? Why the heck would you use your real bank account with a stealth account?

It matches if you set it all up as a corporation.

Specific question just to clarify.

I opened a new Business bank account under a DBA name. The debit card that I recieved has the new DBA name on it and my Real name-that i used to open a suspended ebay account.

Question-Will I be able to use this Debit Card to verify to a seller account on eBay? And will eBay link my Real name on this Business Debit Card to my past suspended account???
