great forum, found it a few days ago. it's been a big help!
but i still have a few problems with the gift cards.
i'm from the uk by the way and need the card to open a seller account.
how do i get my dba name & address on the card ?
i mean in order to get the card delivered to me i need to provide my real details...
and does anyone know a virtual credit card or voucher, where i can add any name / address online ?
i've just ordered a 3vcash card to get these vouchers. but also here i need to add a name / address to the voucher in order to open a seller account, don't i ?! |

so lets get this straight im from australia by the way, was thinking of getting a pre paid card such as the one mentioned on this post prepaid visa card, it can be purchased from seven eleven or post office here, if the card has AVS or CCV does it really matter if you give your real details ? i thought there is no way ebay or pp can link the card to the name ? cheers |

Exactly. Paypal wants a valid BSB and account number only. They want to know the numbers are real.
Also there is a specific forum called Merchant accounts, Credit cards in
the second half of the main page.... info is there as well. |

i am not sure if i missed it or something... i am purchasing a virtual card from simon, am i safe to put my real name, address and email address as the recipient's information or should i make all that a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info?
this is what they claim

If you're looking for a gift credit card that may work in your specific country, try the following Google search:
Google: +[Your Country] +gift +"credit card" Visa OR Mastercard
(Substitute the name of your country where is says [Your Country])
What you're looking for is a card that can be given as a gift and registered (if it needs to be registered) to your "stealth" ID.

I ONLY use card "B" for eBay/Paypal account "B".
I ONLY use card "C" for eBay/Paypal account "C".

Vanilla Visa
I was not able to get a Visa gift card purchased at a local CVS store to work. The website to register the card is vanillavisa.com. It worked to set up an account a couple of months ago but as of 12/15/08 it will not work for automated authorization. It works on paypal for the expuse 4 digit #, but cannot be automatically verified even tho it has the 3-digit CCID #. So Ebay won't take it, even tho Paypal did. Has anyone has a similar problem with any of these other gift cards? Can anyone give me a guarantee which card(s) have worked recently? I'm getting agravated with this nonesense on Ebay! |

There are never any guarantees when eBay/Paypal is involved.

I already read that thread and saw my card listed, but noticed the last update was Sept 18, 2008. Which is why I'm asking if anyone has an updated list since the visa gift card with vanilla visa is no longer working.
BTW, I'm in the US. I'll come back later this evening and figure out how to update that, gotta go to work now. |

That's not what I was referring, sorry for not being clear. You just listed Visa gift cards in general and I was being more specific for you. Evidently, not all Visa gift cards are the same, it depends on where you buy it as to what kind of Visa brand it is. | sorry I fixed it now but yeah I live in the USA as you do. I don't have much in the way of spare funds atm so would like to get something that is going to work on the first try. I do already have a netspend card but not sure how to put money into it without using direct deposit. |
