I need to 'borrow' a us phone number for paypal re-verification

hi, the long and short of it is that i need a valid us telephone number that somebody can answer (in us) ASAP to verify a us paypal account (lifting limit) but I am in UK.. if someone can help me by answering the verofy phone call and giving me the PIN i would be most appreciated.. $$$ £££ :-) if anybody can help please advise

Why didn't you just open a new UK Paypal and Ebay account instead of buying a US one? Is this not doomed to fail?? Surely, some US buyers will stick you in with Ebay when their goods, to their surprise, arrive from the UK??

Others may have different experiences but I have not been able to get a US account up and running with any decent level of sales volume.... it was just a waste of time and money.

Unless I am missing something, I don't see the advantage in having new US accounts as a UK user.

I just stick to UK accounts and have a couple dedicated to selling on .com and another couple to .com.au

ok, all i need this for is a temporary fix to release the paypal account.... then i will sell the us ebay/paypal account on... but i need the phone verfiy asap

yahoo voice, voipfone and many others do US numbers, you will need to buy it yourself though, unless a US forumer is willing to obtain a new tracfone number and you pay them. if you are planning to sell on account, you need to pay for the parts, dont expect people to just give you stuff...

Do you mean you will organize a phone number (pay for that) and get someone to answer for you? Borrow is a bit different. If you borrow a number how can that be used for paypal again?

Better to let whoever you give/sell/trade it to do the phone verfication themselves.... that way they can just use a number they are going to keep rather than having to change it.

I suspect the account is lost though... logging in from different countries is bound to raise flags.

As Greenbean said, you can't just borrow a US number. Once it is used to unlimit your account, it can never be used again for anything Paypal / Ebay related.

Several folk have told you what companies can offer you what you're looking for but no one is going to do it for you. I really think you'd be best just to ditch the account and set up your own UK Ebay and Paypal accounts. Put this down to experience and walk away from it.
