Default Advanced Method To Organize Different Accounts

Having many accounts with different IPs and information can be confusing, and not getting them linked or slipping up and accidentally logging into the wrong account can easily happen.

A good idea is to have different computers for every account, but that is not practical.

On the other hand, you can use a virtual PC program such as VMWare to split up your PC into "virtual" computers, and each virtual computer can be used for one account with one set of information/IP.

I highly recommend VMWare for this.

You can also really differentiate each account by having each virtual PC running a completely different OS, resolution, browser, etc...

One account can run RedHat Linux at 1024x768 while one is running Windows Vista at 1680x1050 - just an added layer of randomized information to give eBay a harder time

This is a powerful method that will minimize you from mixing up your accounts, and keeps things nice and organized.

Each virtual computer can have files/settings dedicated to each eBay ID and what that ID is selling, it's a really handy method.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't it be just about the same as using different user accounts in windows? It wouldn't solve the IP issue would it?

Using separate user accounts is a lot eaiser. Yes you still need to change your ip.

Different user accounts on the same machine works JUST as easily and is MUCH less expensive.

MrGangitano, Welcome to forum!

I am all for the simplest solutions out there. Have you ever tried just different windows users? Who cares if its Vista or RedHat Linux or whatever... Millions are using them, so to further differentiate accounts nor really that important IMO....

No need to bounce around with OS's and browsers.

Simply use Windows XP through Windows 7. Set up the computer name as HP Customer. Set a common screen res and don't have 18 very unique identifiers. Look as similar to every other common out of the box TigerDirect PC customer and keep as much of your PC markers on your own side of your firewall.

A red wolf, a blue sheep, an orange tiger, and a pink elephant in the kitchen are all unique, sure. But they do get noticed.

Who ever sees 198 pigeons on a roof 100 storeys up? And how could you ever single any specific one out of the group? Savvy?

Advanced=complicated=confusion=mistakes=SUSPENSION

Simple=practical=SELLING & SUCCESS

In a way it may be whatever yanks your chain, but it is well proven here, that following simple, defined methods works. That's the recommendation.

Yeah. The OP does have a system that would work, but simpler is better. I personally wasn't knocking the general concept, only the level of complicity.

I remember reading somewhere that VMWare isn't eBay proof. I use different user accounts so I can keep my cookies going strong.
