A new twist on the phonebox method
Hi, as many of the UK users having been reporting, my mobile too seems to be too quiet (even on speakerphone) for it to register on the phonebox receiver (Motorola F3 btw).
So I have created 12 MP3 of the sounds that the keys make and uploaded them to my iPod. From there in iTunes I set the MP3 volume to 200% and go to Poundlound (or equivilant pound shop in your area) and buy passive mini speakers for my iPod (even came with free earphones, all for £1!!!).
Setting wise for the actual iPod I removed the volume limt, turned any EQ settings off and (this is important) set the MP3s to Repeat 'All'. This means it will keep making the sound over and over so eBay hears it. Now make sure you do all this BEFORE you leave to take the call.
So you now have 0 / 1 / 2, etc showing in the ALBUM menu, when eBay calls and asks for, say 3, click 3 twice and put it up to the receiver, holding it there until eBay tells the code. Have confirmed it a week ago as working.
Any help please ask.
