Why cant I just sign up with 1&1 ??

I have been researching the 1&1 ecommerce site and looks like they integrate well with ebay. why cant I just bypass paypal all the way and use ebay and their shopping cart? just curious. Back when I did take paypal on an older ID, I always had people asking me why I didnt take CC's directly anyway. I always had to come up with some excuse as to why we only accepted paypal.

I do everything I can to accept paypal. Some items on ebay are only allowed to be paid with paypal.
