Default Bank account..

I have a dormant limited p/p account, which is over 6 months old.. i can now remove funds, problem being the bank acct associated with the p/p acct, is no longer open.. and i cant withdraw any other way........... if i remove a good working bank acct from a good p/p acct, and add it to the limited p/p acct, will it let me do that..and then withdraw the balance..

hope that makes sense... it did to me anyway....

cheers..

I don't think that'll work. Paypal is like an elephant and retains information like this forever. It's best to open a new bank account, which doesn't take a lot of time and add it to your account. If you try to remove one bank account details from another and add it to your limited account, I'm 99% sure Paypal will say it's been used with another account already... and they'll link accounts and may limit your good account. It's not a good idea to do it. Hope this makes sense.

Open an ING account at ingdirect.com You can have one checking account and as many savings accounts as you want, so if one pp dies, open a new savings account. It's free, no min. balance (and great rates!!). That way you can have everything in one place. Comes with a mastercard debitcard (they do ask for ss#, so no faking names). Not to mention that the statements are virtual so you can set it to any address you want...

ING accounts allow you to wire transfer to your Wells Fargo account? Do they give you checkbooks? Basically, i dont want this account, but the changing account option sounds wonderful. I want all my funds to be in certain accounts at my current bank.

Anything will help.

iwillsurvive: when you open your ing, they are going to ask you for information from you EXISTING brick-and-mortar checking account (wells fargo in your case). they will link the ing account to that existing account. (but the ing will be a separate accnt with it's own account/routing numbers). after this is all done, you can transfer from you ing acct into your regular checking account. this is how i use it.

Great info.

So there is no way PP or Ebay can check the real name on either account correct?

How long does it take to get the debit card?

Yes, open the "Orange Savings" as this is the one that lets you open multiple account #s (sub-accounts) as one customer.

Bear in mind though, they have a 6 withdrawal-per-month limit for each customer.. and they even count transfers between different your different sub-accounts as "withdrawals"!

OK so 6 withdraws total, not 6 per account? and you get a debit card?

Yeah, 6 withdrawals TOTAL for anything within ING savings.

Well you don't get a debit card with just the savings account, but you should for the Checking account. (I don't have one of those yet).
